What an amazing experience and find. Who would have thought that this dining experience wound up being the best meal we had during our trip to Sicily.
After booking the reservation online, the hosts were in constant communication from sending us various menus to choose from to confirming their location and date and time.
We had an absolutely wonderful evening at this charming home-style dinner. From the moment we stepped into Patrizia and Luigi’s home, we were greeted with warmth and friendliness, which instantly made us feel like part of the family. The cozy, inviting atmosphere set the perfect tone for the meal ahead. We had no idea that this would wind up being the best meal and experience we had overall while visitingTaormina, Agrigento, and Catania.
The food was truly exceptional—each dish was crafted with love and showcased authentic, flavorful ingredients. The food was endless - from family- style appetizers such as stuffed sardines and delicious homemade caponata to homemade pasta, savory fried fish dishes, fresh vegetables, and outstanding wine. It was clear that a lot of passion, love, and care went into every plate, making the meal not just delicious but also heartfelt.
What really stood out was the personal touch—the stories behind each dish, the thoughtful presentation, and the genuine hospitality. It felt like enjoying a favorite family recipe in the comfort of someone’s home, which made the experience all the more special. What made it feel even more like home was their beautiful and friendly dog Anas.
I highly recommend this home-style dinner to anyone looking for a cozy, flavorful, and memorable culinary experience that feels like a warm hug. We will definitely be returning again hopefully in the...
Read moreIf you’re looking for a unique experience during your travels to Agrigento you have come to the right place. Patrizia and Luigi, a beautiful husband and wife duo made us feel right at home and even made sure to have a translator present just in case there was a language barrier. All three were divine individuals who welcomed us, quite literally, with open arms. We made this unique stop on our honeymoon, as my roots are from Racalmuto, not far from Agrigento. We wanted to experience true Sicilian home cooked food, as my nonna would have made it. The food was delicious and authentic, each dish came with a detailed explanation of how it was made and where it derived. It was such a pleasure sharing dinner with these amazing people and we cannot wait to return! Grazie mille Patrizia & Luigi 🤍 Ramsin & Lina (the...
Read moreOur family spent a month in Italy, visited Michelin restaurants and other places highly recommended by Rick Steves and others, and THIS WAS THE MOST MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE BY FAR. Do not miss this! If you are reading this review and wondering whether you should rearrange your travel plans to do this, the answer is YES. The food was varied and fantastic, the portions were enormous, the hosts were welcoming, and the overall experience was amazing. We had dinner (no class) and Patrizia cooked a series of traditional Sicilian dishes (we tried one of the seafood menus). Salvo helped as translator and Luigi played class clown / professor the entire time. We laughed, we cried, we would do it all over again in a heartbeat. You will get into this what you put in: arrive ready to interact, to chat, to make...
