WHAT A BAD EXPERIENCE...
During our trip to Sicily, we visited this restaurant, the food was good but just that - a good meal. However, the experience was completely ruined for us due to the terrible customer service. When we arrived with our elderly grandmother in a wheelchair, the man who greeted us had an awful attitude and seemed annoyed by her presence. This made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable throughout the evening.
The entire time, we received bad looks and poor service. It was the worst service I have ever experienced in my entire life. However, as we were about to leave, I asked one of the owners where the bathroom was in English, not Italian. Upon realizing we were tourists who spoke English, the owner himself came to our table to take our bill, and his attitude became slightly better. This made us feel like there was something wrong with the way they treated tourists, especially those with disabilities.
We think the award they won in Las Vegas may have made them lose their humility. Their attitude towards us, particularly towards our nonna, left a lot to be desired in terms of their customer service.
WE DEFINITELY WON'T BE BACK TO THIS PLACE ON OUR NEXT VISIT TO SICILY, AND WE ARE TELLING EVERYONE WE KNOW...
Read moreWhat a hidden gem to find on a main road through a small Sicilian town. The pizza was incredible, a Margherita is a real measure of a place and this spot has multiple! We had the panelle to start which were light crispy delights, and each had a different margarita. I had an original, and everything was completely perfect, heavy with rich San Marzano sauce and mozzarella, aromatic basil and a crust that I am still thinking of days later. The perfect crisp bite and soft doughy interior. My partner had the Margarinda pizza with a unique Sicilian tomato base which was unlike anything I’d ever eaten, sweet, buttery and smooth, it was different but completely delectable. Even if you are just driving through Villagio Mose you must stop for this multi award...
Read moreThis is the best pizza we have ever had all over Sicily! Most of the clients are local families, which definitely is a good sign for us! The waiters don’t really speak English but were so happy to have some foreigners. The price was surprisingly low but the pizzas were so generous (thin slices of mortadella piled up on my pizza like a cake! With pistachios!). What was funny is that clients have to listen to the kitchen that calls out the table numbers, then you go to pick up your orders yourself. All in all, best experience! Usually we don’t revisit a restaurant so we can test different things, but this one was exceptional! We came back...
