It is so difficult to find authentic eateries/shops in places like Alba because the are either tourist traps or whitewashed, impersonal places. Well--- this little gem is everything but.
I happened to stumble upon this place as I was wandering around Alba. I decided to sit down and ask for a cheese platter. From the moment I was greeted, I felt right in the right place. Patrizia put together a fantastic cheese plate for me and also gave me a white wine recommendation that became my absolute favourite white wine I have ever had. I also ended up spending like 100€ in the beautiful and quality products they sell. During my selection, Patrizia guided me and suggested fantastic items.
In short: If you are looking for real, authentic and quality food don't hesitate coming here. They will take care of you and hey, if you break the bank buying stuff from here, you won't regret it.

Read moreThis place is specialised in typical piemontese cold cuts, cheese and wines. They also offer different plates of pasta. We had lunch here during the Alba wine fare in 2022. We had a plate of mixed cold cuts and cheese. The food was good but the quantity was too little for the price charged. Further, we had different plates of pasta and asked to add white truffle at € 25 extra for each plate. The white truffe had the correct smell but did not have the taste it should have. We ordered a Nebbiolo wine which was insignificant. Since one is in the famous Langhe wine are you can expect that even medium high priced wines do have a good bouquet. To sum up, would I go there again? No, since there are much better places around which offer much more at...
Read moreWe enjoyed sitting in the main shopping street of Alba at the end of the day, drinking the recommended "methodo classico" spumante with a board of local cold cuts -- sausages, tartare, different salami, with quality bread. The mains were excellent -- in quality and value. The Tajarin with summer truffles for €13 were as good as, maybe better than those in another local restaurant where we paid close to double! The ragú on the pasta was the best we had had on this trip. Service was personal and engaging. Note that the little shop has lots of local delicacies, including cheeses, salamis, wine -- and truffles. Highly...
