In Italy, the osteria is where you go when you need comfort food, that’s a matter of fact. You opt for this restaurant type when you miss your grandma’s meatballs or if you can’t live one more day without biting that roasted chicken that only that cooks in that way. Well, the Osteria dei Sognatori 100% fulfils these expectations. My family and I were very impressed by this place. The atmosphere was informal and typical of a traditional osteria. We were looking for a Piedmont-style cuisine, which we got. Great ingredients and enormous skills to transform them into delicious recipes. The raw meat was delicious as the vitello tonnato and giardiniera. All the starters were incredibly delicious. We opted for a quarter of a litre of Barbera, which was also a great choice. The location was great, close to the town centre. The service was polite and attentive. The furniture is a bit old and looking for renovation as the restroom. The restaurant is at street level, hence easy to access for people with mobility impediments. On top of that, the table setup is very narrow, and overall mobility is not easy. We had to leave our outside of the location our stroller. The combination of these elements provided a cosy atmosphere. Prices were also very reasonable. Overall, we had a great experience, and if you are looking for an authentic local cuisine experience, I highly recommend Osteria...
Read moreDiego and Julia were the best! I cannot say enough about this restaurant. My girlfriend and I were traveling through Italy for a 30th birthday and came here on a recommendation. Each course was amazing, some of the tastiest food either of us had ever eaten. The ragu sauce was cooked slowly to release amazing flavors, while the ravioli was delicately flavored with sage. And the tiramisu was beautifully light while the panna cotta had sweetness beautifully balanced by a bitter sauce. But the service and kindness Diego and Julia showed made the whole experience magical!
Whenever we hesitated choosing a course, Diego just brought us a small portion of each option. Even when the kitchen ran out of tiramisu, Julia found a sample and brought it out to us (adding to our dessert sampler). Somehow the bill came to a ridiculously low amount, and then Diego tried to offer us a discount (along with limoncello). We definitely declined the discount and eagerly accepted the limoncello.
Diego and Julia, a sincere thank you for...
Read moreWe had the pleasure of dining at the best Italian homemade food authentic restaurant in Alba, and it was truly an incredible experience. From start to finish, the service was impeccable - our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for.
And the food - wow! I can confidently say that it was some of the best Italian food I've ever had. Each dish was bursting with flavor and made with the freshest ingredients. From the perfectly al dente pasta to the tender, succulent meat dishes, everything was fantastic.
I particularly loved the homemade gnocchi - they were light, fluffy, and melted in my mouth. And the tiramisu for dessert was the perfect ending to an already fantastic meal.
Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an unforgettable Italian dining experience. The food and service were both outstanding, and I can't...
