Anima, Ristorante & Pizzeria — Restaurant in Albenga

My wife wanted to have pasta alle vongole. I don't like seafood and wanted to have a pizza. So we went to Anima because they serve both. But they don't only serve, they make it really really good! The antipasto was a great variety and large portion to start with, the pizza (i had the one where the crust is filled with ricotta) was very good. We were in Naples once and the owners are obviously also from Naples, and it reminded us of our time then. The staff is very friendly and helpful, there's also a young man who can explain the menu to you in English if you don't know Italian. Recently came in with my girlfriend in this lovely restaurant, while spending time in Albenga. We went for a Panuozzo (for our first time)and Margherita pizza and we were amazed. All the flavours were perfectly balanced. The atmosphere and the vibe of the restaurant was on point specially because they are along the lungomare and we could see the sea from our table. A cena con gli amici, prenotazione alle 19.30, riusciamo ad occupare il tavolo alle 20. Lunga attesa. Sulle tovagliette è presente il menù. Ci vogliono circa 20 minuti perché venga presa la comanda. Ordiniamo ed ancora attesa di 40 minuti. Le pizze a dir dei commensali che sono con me, non sono male. Io vado di cucina, un antipasto della casa, devo dire davvero ottimo, ricco. Finito l'antipasto resto in attesa.... Passano i minuti e dopo ben 30 minuti fermo una cameriera e chiedo che fine abbia fatto il mio secondo. Una frittura di calamari. Solo dopo il mio 8ntervento arrivano a sparecchiare e finalmente arriva la mia frittura. Anche su questa nulla da eccepire, davvero ottima, cottura perfetta, qualità altissima. Tutto sommato abbiamo mangiato bene, ma i 5empi di attesa sono davvero troppo lunghi. Durante la serata era presente un dj che metteva musica e suonava. Il volume della musica era talmente forte da non riuscire a tenere una conversazione. Do solo 3 stelle proprio per il servizio e per la musica che ci ha frastornato tutta la sera. Mi riservo di modificare la recensione alla prossima visita per vedere se potremo trovare dei miglioramenti soprattutto nel servizio e nei tempi di attesa.
