Not recommended. Our order was placed before three other tables were seated. But they received their food before us. The same dishes that we ordered were served to them before we ever received ours. When I brought this to the waiter’s attention, he said he’d check on it. It was at that point that I canceled the order and asked for the bill. There was no apology nor explanation. They were clearly not expecting me to have called them out on it, but of course, I did. Clearly a case of we’ll serve our friends before foreigners. If you’re not friends with them, don’t expect great service. Needless to say, very disappointing...

Risto/bar carino situato in una piazzetta molto suggestiva sotto un palazzo storico con facciata di tufi pizzuti. L'impatto è stato molto positivo. Abbiamo atteso un po' perché arrivasse un cameriere a prendere l'ordinazione ma nonostante le nostre raccomandazioni nello specificare che non potevamo mangiare cibo piccante, ci sono stati servirti salumi differenti da quelli scelti da noi compreso un salame piccante. Il primo da noi scelto ( spaghetto fresco con ricciola) non ha soddisfatto il nostro palato e purtroppo non siamo riusciti a consumarlo. A fine pasto, al momento di pagare, un signore ( presumibilmente il cuoco) ha chiesto il motivo per cui non avevamo apprezzato. Il mio socio ha provato a spiegare il suo punto di vista ma questo signore è stato parecchio insistente con lui tanto che la discussione si è animata un po'. Abbiamo pagato un conto per niente basso per quello che avevamo ricevuto ma la cosa meno simpatica è che abbiamo lasciato il locale con una certa disapprovazione. Food was the best in Alessano! Local food and wine, especially their white wine was delicious and highly recommend the pistachio ravioli. Very friendly staff, even if we don’t speak Italian we were able to communicate easily with them. Tables outside in a gorgeous piazza, or inside to shelter from the wind.
