Had a wonderful stay.|I'm Italian and my partner is English and we were both really happy and pleased with our choice.|Also, September was the perfect time of the year for this trip. ||Location: perfect to visit Salento by car. I specifically chose this location in order to be able to visit both the east coast (rocky, good for snorkelling) and the west coast (sandy with clear waters) - masseria Galatea was ideally situated for this purpose. Every place we wanted to visit was a short drive away. ||Building: stunning building, built with the typical stone of the region. Authentic masseria telling stories from the past, but skilfully done up respecting the tradition and offering all the modern comforts including a stunning swimming pool. The compound is surrounded by land, providing a peaceful relaxing stay. I loved learning about the various plants that are grown by Pasquale such as capers, pomegranate and many more..||Room: lovely bedroom with all comforts: aircon, tv, hairdryer, fridge... simply and nicely decorated in a salento theme...made me feel at home and also had a good night sleep as the place is really quiet.||Breakfast: delicious Italian breakfast with different cakes baked every day! We found this Maseria during our roadtrip in Puglia last week. It has 4 rooms in a beautifully renovated traditional building in the middle of a huge field. The rooms have very high ceilings, with windows on the fields and the restaurant serves freshly prepared regional food. It is a very peaceful environment. We loved the food and our rest in this masseria as well as meeting the lovely family who operates the place. I find it also very inspiring when such a couple leaves their jobs to create something very beautiful on the land with lots of effort and commitment - to add something meaningful and beautiful to this world.
