First I should say that I came here with my one year old son and that was a HUGE mistake on OUR part. This restaurant is a little formal and he started to behave badly. The service team are professional, warm and engaging. They helped us as much as they could. The food is Piemontesi in style but refined and hearty. The a la carte menu is small and focused. The tasting menu offers the same. Their wine list is brilliant with a short selection of regional wines. I would definitely come back here again (without the child) to have a good time. I was photographing a wedding that featured a grappa tasting event in this venue. The venue itself is really inviting and cozy—perfect for anything from a private party to a corporate gathering. The food was top-notch, and the staff were really welcoming. The venue also has a small garden area that can be incorporated into events, which we definitely made use of. Ho avuto il piacere di cenare sabato sera presso il ristorante Materia Prima della famiglia Mazzetti ad Altavilla... era da tempo che desideravo provare la cucina del ristorante con i suoi famosi abbinamenti di grappa ed acquavite e finalmente ho trovato l'occasione. Tutto era perfetto! Ci è stato offerto come cocktail di benvenuto il Negroni firmato Mazzetti (delizioso) insieme ad assaggio omaggiato dalla cucina. Il menù degustazione di quattro portate è variegato e ben curato, con triplice scelta per ogni portata fra piatti di carne, pesce di acqua dolce ed opzioni vegetariane. Particolarmente interessante l'abbinamento con grappe/acquaviti (magistralmente introdotto e spiegato da Francesco) che contestualizzano - in maniera inedita e raramente presente in altri ristoranti - il percorso culinario alla tradizione di distillatori della famiglia Mazzetti. Anche il servizio di Francesco e sua moglie è stato impeccabile.
