La Vecchia Costa in Sardinia offers a culinary experience that perfectly captures the authentic flavors of the region. From the starters to the dessert, each dish is a celebration of high-quality local ingredients and Sardinian gastronomic tradition.
The starters were an excellent introduction to what was to come. The Vecchia Costa pizza, with its thin, crispy crust, was topped with fresh ingredients that complemented each other perfectly, creating a burst of flavors. The buffalo mozzarella, accompanied by marinated meat, was a delight in every bite, combining the creaminess of the cheese with the intense flavor of the meat. The focaccia, freshly baked and aromatic, was the ideal accompaniment.
For the main course, the peppered steak received all the praise. Cooked to perfection, with a slightly golden exterior and tender interior, the meat was perfectly seasoned with a pepper sauce that balanced intensity and smoothness.
The sweet finale was an experience in itself. The pistachio ice cream, with its creamy texture and authentic flavor, was a delight. The tiramisu, classic and perfectly executed, offered an ideal balance between sweet and bitter. To crown the meal, the Sardinian wine tasting allowed us to explore the richness and diversity of local viticulture, each wine perfectly complementing the menu's dishes.
In summary, La Vecchia Costa offers not just a meal but a complete gastronomic experience that celebrates the flavors and tradition of Sardinia. From the carefully prepared starters to the dessert and wine selection, every detail is designed to delight diners. A place I would recommend to any lover of fine...
Read moreThis is worse than a fastfood restaurant. The parmaham looked pale, had a bad smell and tasted bad. The salsiccia also the same. It seemed like it was expired and from the cheepest quality. Even the melon wasn’t fresh or tasty. The pane carrasau (flatbread) tasted old. I had a typical Sardinian pasta with lamb. I just left it, because it was obvious that it wasn’t prepared fresh, but heated in the microwave or whatsoever and from the little bit I tasted, it left a bad taste in my mouth. A big disappointment, because this is a disgrace for Sardinia. This has nothing to do with a typical Sardinian restaurant. The chef’s aren’t original Sardinian as I already thought after having only the starter, but it was confirmed when I took a look into the kitchen when paying the bill. The waiters are shameless and they don’t care, because there are groups with touringcars coming everyday. And because of this they don’t feel the need to improve. If you want to taste real Sardinian food, try for example Lu Stazzu Arzachena or tenute Pilastru and you will find out how it really should be and what difference in quality you...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at this great restaurant, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! We decided to try the fish and seafood pasta, and it was absolutely amazing. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the seafood was fresh and flavorful, making every bite a delightful experience.
Although we regretted not having the chance to try their pizza, which we heard is also fantastic, the overall experience was still top-notch. Our waiter was exceptional, providing attentive and friendly service throughout our meal. He made excellent recommendations and ensured that we had everything we needed.
The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, creating the perfect atmosphere for a memorable dining experience. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic meal and...
