Vestri Chocolate LTD — Restaurant in Arezzo

These chocolates are quite simply the best we’ve ever tasted. Beautiful textures - melt in the mouth and lovely subtle flavours. We visited the store in Florence and the wonderful manager there told us of the factory in Arezzo. We had lunch at the Arezzo store, followed by more tea, then purchased lots of gorgeous chocolate and finished with their freshly made delicious ice cream to go! We were served by Leonardo Vestri, the owner, who could not have been nicer and who kindly took time out to explain the chocolate making process; all their chocolates are handmade on-site from organic cacao beans from their own plantation in the Dominic Republic! Every member of staff we spoke to was incredibly friendly and helpful to us (non-Italian speakers). It was a pleasant two mile walk from the centre and was totally worth it. OMG!!!! I feel like I walked into a chocolate, confectionary, and gelato shop of my dreams in Arezzo, Italy (March 2024)!❤️❤️❤️ I was also able to tag along with a children’s group to tour their chocolate factory to see how they make their chocolate Easter eggs and how they wrap them - MAGNIFICENT! Then we were able to sit down and enjoy a couple of espressos and pastries. Later that day I went back to get their gelato as I couldn’t resist it! It was so worth the wait - exquisite! Needless to say, I definitely had a lot of chocolate to take home in my suitcase - I can always buy more clothes when I return home! Tutto molto buono anche la maggior parte del personale abbastanza gentile (anche se non troppo solare). Ma c’è una dipendente che è a dir poco maleducata e sgarbata. Se ti fa fatica lavorare stai a casa! Dopo che ho chiesto se in un gusto di gelato ci fosse dell’alcool in quanto non lo posso assumere in nessun modo e non riuscivo a leggere bene la scritta negli ingredienti, questa risponde nella maniera più scocciata “boh, non penso” e nel frattempo stava già mettendo il gelato nel cono (tra l’altro già pagato quindi poi l’ho fatto mangiare al mio ragazzo). Ditemi voi se questo vi sembra un comportamento adatto per una persona che lavora al pubblico. Prima di tutto non ci si rivolge così ad un cliente che ha semplicemente fatto una domanda e secondo TU devi sapere cosa servi e se non lo sai chiedi a chi li dentro sa più di te. Peccato perché è davvero ottima la qualità del cibo ma finché non entrerò li dentro senza sentirmi un peso per dover mettere due palline di gelato in un cono o dei biscotti in un sacchetto io non ci rimetto piede.
