Such a beautiful town, and the setting is lovely. We were really excited to try this restaurant, and the reviews were all 5 star. Unfortunately, I cannot agree. There may have been a recent menu change that led to this different experience, I don't know. The appetizer of artichoke over potato and pecorino cream had a gummy texture to the cream. Similar to when potatoes are over beaten. My husbands pasta had tuna but also some other texture we weren't sure what it was, we thought maybe mushroom...the flavors needed to have a cleaner taste, it needed something to brighten it. My tuna had good flavor. But when three small pieces of tuna are presented I believe quality in how the tuna loin is cut is important. In Costa Rica tuna is very common and the cut is also, the strands that can run through it are never included in a tuna fish or tuna steak. That is called the silver skin there and it's a similar texture to having tendon or grizzle left in a cut of meat . Very attentive service. With adjustments to flavors or the next menu this could be a nice change of pace for the town and surrounding area.

Lunch today was very special. The pasta artichoke, cacia & pepe was delicious with the house white wine, very smooth. Our invited guests were very pleased. The town - Chiusure - that the restaurant is in is enchanting and a special place. This is the finest restaurant in the area and the food matches that. We walked the town after dinner and the staff let us into see the Borgo Santo pool area which is incredible. We looked over the abbey which is majestic. The whole town is stunning starting with the food from this restaurant. Bravo to the team that created this. We have been back for dinner since and it was phenomenal with the red wine list much expanded. We tried the red wine from Amant which is a Brunello Sangiovese and it is really great. I would highly recommend the town and this spot. It is beyond amazing.

This place is beautiful and the service is polite. Unfortunately the food is terrible. It feels like they are trying for a high level of ambition but can’t execute on basics. Food was bland, tasteless and overcooked. Their medium rare steak was well done and when it was pointed out to the waitress there was no reaction. Vongole was overcooked and chewy. Go somewhere else, it’s definitely not worth the money.

New restaurant just opened in May 2023, offers superb fresh taste of regional classics. Good mix of local vegetables, seafood and meats. You have 5 choices of each 3 courses on the current menu. My favorites are the shrimp filled zucchini flowers, linguine with clams, and the herb stuffed rabbit. Their gnocchi is light and sublime, the best I ever had. The chef has worked around the world including New York. Fine food at very reasonable prices. You are treated to a sip of Prosecco and a basket full of freshly baked breads when you start the meal. Good house wines also by the glass. Large well done dining room with tables outside on the pizza in warm season. A storybook setting in a romantic hilltop village next to the famous Monte...
