Osteria DAME' — Restaurant in Augusta

From start to finish the experience was simply fantastic. As soon as we entered we were treated with 1st class service and an aperitif. The owner served us personally and gave a clear run down of the menu which btw changes weekly. The starters, mains and desserts were delicious. I read the reviews before and wholeheartedly agree that the cheesecake is to die for. We were in a group of 6 and they managed to serve together. Outside of this was the wine. Omg the red we had was perfect and tasted sooo good. The bill was reasonable considering all we consumed but the finishing touch was a lemon cello for free. Toilets are clean but had an unusual decor but classy. The walls are bare with plaster removed but this only added to the quaint experience. We have picked this place out of the blue. And we had about 8 adults and 2 kids and they were able to accommodate us. None of us spoke Italian and they were very patient and sweet. They help us navigate the menu which in fact changes every week. We ordered a lot of food. They even brought us things that weren't on the menu just to try it on. This place is stunning and made our entire trip memorable in Sicily. Milania was beyond amazing - treated us like family. We went for dinner and back again for lunch. I would have eaten there everyday if I stayed longer in this area. It is beautifully decorated and the warm welcoming feelings we received were like no other place we have been to our entire trip. Very accommodating and even made us dishes not on the menu to cater to our wishes. Milania spent so much time talking with us and we felt so grateful to have found great food and to feel part of a family. ...
