Emerald Beach Bar — Restaurant in Badesi

If your a tourist your not welcome, don’t bother. Had a very unpleasant experience. Was enjoying a beach day, headed up to the restaurant mid morning to see if we could make a reservation for lunch to be told they don’t take reservations and to come back in 1 hour and they will seat us. Returned an hour later as advised to see half the restaurant full and the rest of the tables with reserved signs and told they can’t seat us. Were also told that we couldn’t sit at the beach tables ‘because they have a problem with the sun’ . This restaurant is for locals only, tourists not welcome, don’t give them your custom.

Excellent place right on the far end of Badesi Beach. Parking is available right in front, the Beach to Beach bus has a stop there as well. We went in the early afternoon, just for a drink, but decided to get cocktails, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The staff is very friendly and professional, the food they brought out to other tables looked awesome, so we decided to stay for dinner. The chef recommended a local dish, zuppa gallurese, a local pasta like bread with delicious cheese. I tried a glass of local white wine, Renabianca, that went perfectly with the cheese. We closed with homemade Tiramisu and a coffee with a shot of local Sardinian grappa.

Da Evitare! Una stella perché 0 non è previsto. Il classico esempio di come tentare di fregare il turista. Ordinato 2 calici di vermentino (perché loro non usano il vino sfuso e quindi sei obbligato a comprare una bottiglia a 20 euro che di solito costa 6 euro). dopo 20 minuti sono arrivati 2 bicchieri semicaldi con meno di mezzo di dito di vino. Alla domanda del perché un signore di mezza età che era dietro il bar dall’aria altezzosa asserisce in malafede che: “così vuole la federazione dei barman” (mai sentito una buffonata del genere). A questo punto ordiniamo una bottiglia di vermentino (mai arrivata) e ordiniamo 2 insalate di pollo (altri 20 minuti di attesa per farci bere prima del cibo vecchia tecnica) in pratica senza pollo: arrivano in una insalatiera solo tanta insalata e n. 4 pezzettini di numero di pollo grandi come un mignolo, al prezzo modico di 12 euro cadauna. Alla domanda del perché fosse arrivato una porzione del genere di una “cesar salad” quasi senza pollo, la signora bassetta della cassa senza un sorriso esordisce con: “potete anche andare via siete dei rompiscatole ecc ecc….” insieme al signore di prima che si spaccia per proprietario cacciandoci dal locale e cercando addirittura lo scontro fisico verbale. Incredibile!!! Nel 2022. In sostanza non fatevi ingannare dalla location (è chiaro che essendo sulla spiaggia che guarda il mare è molto appariscente e suggestiva) ma guardate oltre cari consumatori. Qui c’è solo la voglia di prendere in giro i clienti (fortunatamente non è cosi per tutti i gestori onesti che sono la maggioranza). Dispiace che non ci sia stata il desiderio di capire e risolvere la situazione come ogni buon proprietario dovrebbe fare per il proprio locale, ma come dicevo solo volere “spillare” i soldi che si cerca di fare il più possibile ad agosto, macchiando la bellissima terra sarda.
