Hosteria Pura — Restaurant in Bagno a Ripoli

We had a super fresh tuna tartare to start, followed by two pastas: the lemon cream shrimp tagliatelle was outstanding, while the tomato spaghetti was a bit too oily but still tasty. The tomatoes in all dishes were excellent. Dessert was a tiramisu served in a cute plant pot—great presentation and deliciously fluffy.

Only downside: the portions were quite large, making it hard to finish everything. A smaller main option would be great. Also, the table bread was hard and a bit watery.

We will remeber this place and in the future if we are near we won't...

All'entrata l'apparenza ed il menù esposto all'esterno, facevano apparire il locale un ristorante di livello. Apparecchiatura all'aperto con tavolino in plastica, tovagliolo di carta e tovaglietta di paglia (coperto 2,00 €) Vino gewurztraminer di discutibile qualità (22,00€), servito, da quello che è sembrato il titolare, senza farlo preassaggiare e dovendo chiedere, successivamente, la glacette. Due polpi per antipasto (finali di un tentacolo), un picio cacio e pepe, un tagliolino commerciale (troppo cotto), limone e gamberi. Una cheesecake con salsa ai lamponi con all'interno pistacchi di bassissima qualità (se proprio di qualità dobbiamo parlare). Solo dopo aver pagato € 85,50 (per non essere accusata di voler uno sconto), ho comunicato al proprietario che nella salsa della cheesecake (fatta da loro) c'erano lamponi muffati.... (e c'erano)....neanche scuse, solo un "ah, si?). La signora al servizio gentile e carina. Prezzo quasi da chef stellato ma qualità e prodotti da servire a chi non ne capisce..mi meraviglio sempre, in questi casi, delle recensioni, persone che capiscono poco di qualità e si fanno prendere forse dell'entusiasmo. Di sicuro il rapporto...

We were looking for a place to eat on our way back from Florence and found this restaurant for dinner. The food was delicious and the staff/owners were so sweet and kind. They were very gracious with us Americans who spoke very limited Italian. The grilled octopus was cooked perfectly. Would definitely go...
