You truly cannot beat loving, caring, personable Italians, who appreciate visitors and recognize that we can be charming individuals as well. My wife and I are staying in the Grassina area for a while and decided to make this our local eatery. Everyone was extremely accommodating, the food was regional and exactly as I hoped it would be, simple, made of excellent ingredients, and delicious! Feels like local to eat here. We went in about 7 pm and was asked if we would like to sit in their garden. We did and it was amazing, especially with kid. Mi sono fermato per pranzare e sinceramente l'entrata si presenta bene con degli ottimi prodotti di insaccati, prosciutti, formaggi ed altro. Sono stato fatto accomodare ad un tavolo da pulire nonostante ce ne fossero tanti già pronti e liberi. Ho ordinato stinco di maiale affumicato e patate fritte ma quando è arrivato il piatto già la presentazione non prometteva bene. Intanto era un pezzo di uno stinco di maiale, la cotenna gommosa, due centimetri di grasso e la carne callosa e dura. Il problema è stato che quando lo ho fatto presente alla cameriera, lei con aria molto scocciata ha farfugliato una serie di frasi senza senso da " Gli stinchi li prendiamo già cotti" a "Sono un'esperta di stinchi e sono tutti così ". A quel punto per evitare altre polemiche ho mangiato solo le patate. È bene precisare che il cuoco si è preoccupato di portarmi una altra fetta di stinco ma anche quella era immangiabile.
