Do not eat the pasta. Just had dinner there on October 25 of 2024, and sadly had the worst dinner I've ever had in Italy. My family and I saw that most of the pictures were of pizza, and we wanted to eat pasta, and now we understand why nobody posts pictures of pastas at this restaurant. The 3 we tasted, carbonara, lasagna, and gnocchi, were either tasteless, not made properly (bad gnocchi sauce, carbonara without traditional ingredients such as guanciale) or tasted actually frozen (the lasagna). I would not recommend this place to anyone. But I can only judge the pastas. Perhaps the pizza is what gives this place a rating of 4.2 (as of today)? La pasta peggiore che abbia mai mangiato in Italia. Il primo giorno a Bagnoregio, abbiamo letto le recensioni e siamo rimasti totalmente ingannati dal punteggio 4,2. Abbiamo ordinato 1 melanzana alla parmigiana che non era nemmeno gratinata, con il sale è un po’ migliorata. Poi abbiamo ordinato una carbonara, una lasagna e uno gnocchi. Erano tutti peggiori di quelli comprati al supermercato. Gli gnocchi hanno vinto il concorso per il piatto peggiore della tavola. La seconda peggiore è la carbonara e la terza (diciamo meno peggiore) è la lasagna. Il prezzo è per un ristorante dove la pasta è artigianale, ma sinceramente non è stata l'esperienza che abbiamo avuto. Sconsiglio assolutamente di andare in questo ristorante per mangiare la pasta. We ordered a melanzana alla parmigiana which was no less gratin than the ones you get with salt. Then we ordered a carbonara, a lasagna and a gnocchi. They were all even worse than the ones you buy at a supermarket. The gnocchi won the competition for the worst dish on the table. The carbonara was the second worst and the lasagna was the third (let's say the least worst). The price is for a restaurant where the pasta is handmade, but honestly, that wasn't the experience we had. I absolutely do not recommend going to this restaurant to eat pasta. O preço é de um restaurante onde as massas são artesanais, mas sinceramente não foi a experiência que tivemos. Não recomendo de forma alguma ir nesse restaurante para comer pasta. Lovely bar inside of an antique wine cellar. From the setting to the food (which is absolutely amazing) picked from local producers and perfectly matched with wine or spirits. It’s an amazing experience to try if you go to visit Bagnoregio. Lots of options for vegetarians or vegans. They even have a vegan tagliere (charcuterie plate). The owner is really accommodating.
