Exceptional! We stumbled upon this hole-in-the-wall place by coincidence. We followed Google maps instructions and found a seemingly closed storefront on the ground floor. A women from the neighborhood saw us standing there, puzzled, figuring out how to deal with the situation. Unfortunately our Italien is close to non-existitent, but she knew what we were looking for and hollered up to an open window. Some words were exchanged with the person sticking his head out in the open night and so she pointed right around the corner of the building - to the real entrance of the place. After climbing to the 4th floor, and being greeted by pictures and memorabilia of decades of this restaurant operating, we found ourselves in a rustique super-authentic and non pretentious place: Seems like your uncle or neighbour, who made himself a name in spitroasting, decided to make a Lil business out of it. The only questions asked were about our choice of drinks (it's true, there's a very limited menu choice here, but that's a good thing, imho: they are very well aware of what they got, and that's supposed to be the reason for your visit. The name is the game.) and we were set to join in on this culinary ride: It was more than enough food for the 2 of us. Antipasti, bread, lamb (?), first platter, second platter, dessert and plenty of spirits to stomach it all. Even though we are just guests/tourists, we were humbled by the hospitality, friendlyness and quality of the dishes served in this family establishment. Really appreciate the work and dedication on the homemade food. Thank you so much Piede di porko crew. Please never stop doing...
Read moreSecond time we were there for a fish based lunch. One of the best sea food restaurant I have ever experienced in Sardegna. Restaurant is located in an internal street of Barisardo. The place is distributed on 2 floors plus a terrace on top. We were on the ground floor, which was small and looks like a local old house with a friendly atmosphere. It was only us plus another table in all the restaurant. Likely at night is fuller thank also to the terrace. There is not a fix menu, actually there is not a menu at all. When we booked we were asked if we wanted fish or meet. We chose fish. When we arrived we were welcome by Alberto and he told us what were the fresh fishes available that day. He then presented how he was going to prepare and to serve those. We were served several dishes of several different types of fishes and sea food. All was excellent, very fresh, most likely fished the same morning. We drunk local white wine, very good and perfect for the lunch. Personnel was kind with a friendly familiar attitude. The price is based on the type and quantity of sea food and drinks consumed. We were in 6 both times eating fish and drinking wine and sodas. We spent 240 euros first time and 170 the second, very low prices considering the top quality, freshness and high variety of food. Strongly...

Malloreddus with ragù Culurgiones stuffed with potato and mint, in a light tomato sauce Now the STAR of the show: roasted lamb roasted pork
We didn’t have space for dolce but it was there! We had drinks too. Then comes the price €40 per person. Including drinks. It’s outrageous for the amazing quality and variety of food.
Just remember that you can’t choose the food other than meat or seafood. So you have to let go. It really is a board line life changing meal. So just don’t miss out, this will make...
