Locanda Arizona — Restaurant in Bardolino

If you come to Arizona every year you should consider to skip it for now. At our first stay and first night in Lazise, 11 years ago, we were recommended to go here and it has always been a great restaurant, great food and good service, al those years. Until this year. New owners? The hospitality and the service were bad and the food has lost the unique taste that it had all those years. The gnocchi tartufo was the best in the area and now is way below average. Almost tasteless and that was the case for all the things we ordered. As for the service: the younger waiter is trying and working hard, but as an apprentice of the teacher, the older man with the glasses, there is no one to teach him. What a fantastic Agriturismo; Located near Verona, Lake Garda and the Tyrolian Alps(German) area of Northeastern Italy, this place is terrific. Extremely clean, wonderful breakfasts included and a restaurant below that served some of the best food in all of Italy....over an open fire and vegies picked from their garden next to the vineyard. From their fresh pasta to some of the best grass fed beef steaks, this side of Nebraska, the location to Lake Garda and north to Innsbruck or Brixon, Trento, by car or train was perfect. Stayed here two nights arriving from Venice Marco Polo airport by car at the end of August. Good location for visit to Lake Garda. Easy trip (7.4 km/11minutes) by car to Bardolino or Lazise (4.2 km/6 minutes). The word that best describes this well maintained place is relaxing and comfortable. Quiet setting on a vineyard; spacious room with good light, large bathroom and shower; large balcony with table and chairs; easy parking; buffet breakfast with many choices can be eaten on the outdoor patio; excellent restaurant which also attracts those not staying here.
