Ristorante Nogherazza dal 1994 Orus snc — Restaurant in Belluno

We had dinner at the restaurant. It's located in Castion, a village close to Belluno on a wonderful location, on top of a hill. The restaurant terrace part is set in a big tent. Classy table setting, stylish table lamps, classy staff. The inside restaurant is also beautiful, with lots of wooden details. Food was fresh & classy local/regional: risotto with seasonal vegetables and Piave cheese (yum!) which was very fresh & light. Piave cheese is the regional cheese; beef tartare (Tartare di fasso), and a salmon with light, creamed celeriac with a sauteed zucchini (zucchini trifola) side dish (as the mains were not accompanied with vegetables on the plate) and oven potatoes (patate al forno). Dessert: if you love chocolate, this is the one for you: a salame cicciolata which is basically a cookie roll of chocolate and cookie dough, sliced (really good!). Or a proper lemon meringue tartlet. Just a fantastic place to stay and dine. The value is off the charts. There was a small problem with the room and Antonio answers messages right away and goes to every effort to make things right.

The room was absolutely beautiful. WAY nicer than the price point.

The restaurant was amazing. We got the special where all the courses are pre picked and every course was amazing.

Then, for breakfast, Antonio makes you eggs like you are family.

The charm of this place cannot be overstated.

We loved everything.

Someone complained they don't speak English well....that's not true and even if it was, that's why I come to places like this from the USA. I want a completely different culture.

This tranquil property is beautiful and has stupendous vistas of the Dolomite mountains. The room we had was cozy and tastefully furnished -- we could hardly tear ourselves away from the view out our windows. The location is just across the river from the picturesque town of Belluno and the thrilling Dolomite park. The restaurant on the site is very good, where local people go to celebrate. The staff and proprietor are very Kind, helpful and friendly. This is a dream getaway spot -- peaceful and lovely through...
