Trattoria Col di Salce — Restaurant in Belluno

Honest good Italian food for a normal price. Tucked away in a small village Col di Salce you easily miss it from the main road, but it is definitely worth while. There is a written daily menu on a blackboard and then there are the specials, spoken to you in Italian only. :-). I could manage with spanish, english and some google translate though.

I did not have a single complaint about the food. The lamb was delicious, pasta with octopus was great, and mixed grill is fine too. The deserts are excellent, particularly the tiramisu and the sbriciolata (a sort of crumble cake).

Very friendly people.

Do bring some anti-mosquito spray with you (which is a good advice for the entire Belluno region by the way) to save your bare legs...

Do not pay attention to any bad reviews. Just look at the opening hours in FB, reserve and go The food is fine and very generous. Yes, staff are straightforward and direct, the environment is functional and English is limitted But, food is fresh, very high quality and perfectly cooked. We had fixed menu lunch with pasta beef, chichen, salad, vegetables , beer, wine, mineral water and one dessert to share between two. And 2 perfect , plentiful machiatos which I cannot think of tastier ones. Everything on time, tasty and in finely balanced portions. And they just charged the not expensive fixed price menu without the extras and did not not even expect the tip they deserved. If you like quality...

Ho cenato (bene) con 2 amici e lato cibo nulla da dire. Filetto ottimo, tagliata buona e agnello (spiedini e costicine) gradito dai commensali. Conto giusto e quindi tutto bene direi. Perchè quindi 3 stelle? Per il servizio che non mi è piaciuto per nulla. E' un aspetto che avevo letto anche in altre recensioni e che ho ritrovato anche nella mia personale esperienza. Cenare fuori casa è un'esperienza emozionale che non si limita al solo cibo. RISPOSTA AL COMMENTO DEL GESTORE Mi riferisco al comportamento della cameriera. E al commento sarcastico che ci siamo presi chiedendo se un dolce era disponibile anche se nel menù era scritto "fino a settembre". Ho chiesto su desiderio della mia ospite ben sapendo che al 99% la risposta sarebbe stata negativa. E così è stato, con aggiunta di risposta sarcastica "se c'è scritto fino a settembre mi sembra ovvio che a ottobre non è disponibile". Ha gelato l'atmosfera ma è uguale, il cibo era comunque ottimo come già ribadito. Consiglierei un pizzico di simpatica...
