The only good thing about this restaurant was the service. The food was absolutely tasteless. I felt like I was eating something that had been dragged across the floor and swirled nicely in the plate. Which was 20€ a plate. Absolutely insane for something that tastes like a toilet. Not to mention the sitting fee is 5€. For reference a sitting fee in Italy is normally 1,50€. We ordered the spaghetti with tomato sauce and the fettuccine. The spaghetti had a drop of tomato sauce at the bottom and the fettuccine was so bland. And not even all the service was good one guy who talked to us at first had such an attitude for what? My dad had kindly asked if they had pizza and the server said “this is an Italian restaurant”. Forgive me if I’m wrong but pizza is Italian. But thankfully other than the one guy everyone else was really nice. Before we left we wanted to use the bathroom but it was impossible to lock or unlock the door. We spent about 5 minutes each just to open and close a door. But if you like overpriced atrocious food and sitting next to cemeteries you will love this. In conclusion don’t wast your money here for absolutely trashy and...
Read moreWe came into this restaurant one evening after a very rainy hike down the hill from the Volta tower. We were soaking wet with quite muddy shoes, entering this really fine and beautiful restaurant, feeling extremely hungry and little bit out of place. The owner / chef greeted us at the door with the most warm and welcoming attitude, was so friendly and made sure we do not feel out of place (even though we made a wet puddle of mud around us). Usually you would expect the people to look at you maybe strange in this situation - but we felt so good and welcomed by these extremely friendly and good people.
The food was also amazing. We had the Burrata which they offered to make also in a veggie version, 2 different pasta dishes which were very delicious and a bottle of the Elena Walch Pinot Nero which was also super tasty :-)
After filling our bellies - the main signore put on his Captain hat and accompanied us to the deck where we took the ferry home. We can heartily recommend this restaurant as full of delicious food and warm, friendly people that will make sure you...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I had traveled all day from Switzerland and were tired and looking for food. We were underdressed and concerned that this would be not allowed or disrespectful at best as this place which is amazing and done beautifully. The owner (unbeknownst to us at the time) greeted us as soon as we walked through the terrace entry portion and enthusiastically gave us a table with the most amazing views. The sun was brutal hot and the owner made sure , not just us, but everyone who was getting hit with direct sun had an umbrella. Mickey was our waitress and was an absolute gem. She took her time to talk about the dishes, was extremely pleasant and made sure we were taken care of to the end. The food was spectacular but as you can tell the staff and owner make this experience what is was. Would make this an absolute priority to go back and visit if we return to Blevio/Como. Thank you Mickey and Momi and your team for an incredible experience and perfectly done dishes and for your smiles and welcoming attitude. We won’t forget...
