Ca' Shin — Restaurant in Bologna

Never again! Ok, I arrived this place on a Friday evening at 7,44pm and didn’t reserve a table before. But it looks very nice. They let me know, that they are fully booked. I let them know, that I just asked for a single person. I’ve agreed to stay inside the restaurant and not outside, where more than 50% of the places were not occupied. So, I’ve agreed to sit inside the restaurant. This was a mistake, because they gave me the feeling that I have to leave the restaurant as fast as possible. First time in Italy that they don’t offered me a coperto. I’ve ordered my menue. Pasta and chicken and a Glass of wine and water, which comes immediately. I’ve just started to enjoy the wine, already they gave me the pasta, which were ok, but not exiting. After finished the pasta, one minute later the chicken were served already. So, at the end it didn’t take more than 15 minutes to have the dinner. The places outside, which I have asked for, we’re still not occupied. I’ve paid and let the waiter know, that they have to consider their behaviour...

Few restaurants simultaneously offer food made with finesse and such personality. We are overwhelmed by our experience at Ca’ Shin and so grateful for meeting the staff and chefs.

For dinner we shared the charcuterie board featuring local products (four different meats, three cheeses, sweet jam, HUGE olives, artichokes), just what you want in this beautiful house in the middle of a valley.

We each had homemade pasta– my boyfriend had the ragu with tagliatelle, while I indulged in the tortelloni stuffed with mozzarella... so decadent and satisfying.

On tuesdays and thursdays they do a buffet style meal which is casual yet still quality food with a dedication to product in the Emília-Romagna region.

La location di Ca' Shin è altrettanto straordinaria. Immerso in un contesto naturale affascinante, il ristorante offre splendide viste che arricchiscono l'esperienza culinaria. Gli spazi esterni sono perfetti per una cena all'aperto durante le belle serate, permettendo di godere della frescura e della bellezza del paesaggio circostante.
