More like 4.5 stars. Stopped for lunch and it was great. FOOD: Fantastic food. Ordered florentine steak (1kg), goulash soup, and pasta. Steak was awesome. Perfectly cooked and tasty meat (good cut but some fatty portions). Dab it lightly with salt, it is perfect. Best florentine steak I had in Veneto. Goulash soup was also the best. Better than the one that I had the night before in cortina and ones I have had in Austia. Very hearty and excellent flavor. Pasta was ok. A huge portion for sure, but a little bland for my taste. Overall, great tasting and fulfilling lunch. PRICE: Excellent price. At €37 for the steak, it was the lowest florentine steak price I have seen. Both goulash and pasta were less than €10 (meal by themselves). House wine was good and cheap, and went well with the meal. Cuperto was €1.8 per person. Overall, excellent price for the quality and quantity. LOCATION: A little difficult to find. Not on the main road, and both Google map and GPS did not have the exact location. But, you won't get lost. MISC: Service was excellent and ambiance was perfect. Servers spoke English well and friendly. Decoration was fun with ski and local pictures. Good place for a meal or beer. OVERALL: Would love to comeback for a meal or beer. Maybe next time, we could get limoncello like the local...
Read moreVisiting the dolomites from Canada. Just ate at this place tonight after making reservations. The reviews on here look really good. Lots of interesting olympic and similar decor on the inside. However, not sure how this is the best rated place around. Started off I feeling like they profiled my partner and I after they didnt bring us bread? And it seems like others chose where to sit but us with our reservation they sat us at the table right by the door? To be fair we only got the wiener schnitzel (cotoletta alla milanese) and grilled pastin (Pastin ai ferri) + beers. I grew up eating weiner schnitzel so I was excited for my partner to try some but it was so dry and crunchy it hurt our mouths and then the pastin was very salty (maybe its supposed to be) but otherwise both dishes were plain/bland tasting with no spices added. Neither of wanted to finish. They were very fast to take our unfinished plates and we decided to pay fast and leave as well. Definitely the most disappointing food we’ve tried in Italy. I wish we went back to were we ate lunch today for dinner instead. At checkout they asked “was it OK?” And it was exactly that. OK. Wasn’t expensive, very fair priced but couldnt recommend to others based on...
Read moreWell we visited the place 2 times in 3 days. Food is really tasty and good beer is cold and there are options . The food gets to your table really fast and so do your drinks. We were 6 people and once we almost finished with the food the frequent visits started from the servers . As this happened frequently in a span of 20 minutes we started to feel unpleasant and uncomfortable as we were talking a drinking still. This has damaged the experience , however we decided to give it another go and came back after two days and were advised that there are already reservations and that we can take the table bit only for the next 1.5 hr which we did and there we go again 40 mins into it the visits started again… while this time it was not as frequent as the first time still it was too much and we again decided to leave as we were not feeling comfortable there. Overall while i understand its business and that there is a need to keep it flowing it is still a diner and not a drive through and pressuring people to leave by asking them frequently if they would like something else or are you done with this is not the best way to have...
