La Perla del Golfo — Restaurant in Briatico

Well the view was nice, but we were surprised by the high prices (since this is a small and not touristy town). We ordered mussles, and they came in a dense sausage sauce, so they tasted completely like spicy pork. (Cozze pepata shouldn't taste like that.) This was the first place during our stay in Calabria where we actually didn't like the pizza. The dough was dry, thick and had only a tiny bit of cheese and sauce on it. RUDE STAFF and hilarious prices. We came there for dinner but once we saw the prices we changed our mind and decided to grab some drinks instead. The owner of the place was so rude and told us we have to finish our drinks right away and forced us to leave. I could understand that if the place was crowded but we were literally the only guests. "We are not a bar", he said - jokes on you. The sign above your door clearly stated...

La peggiore esperienza in un ristorante della mia vita...siamo in 4 entriamo e le cameriere iniziano a litigare per dove metterci...ci sediamo e per mezzora non c'è traccia di nessun cameriere per ordinare...dopo mezzora arriva il titolare a dirci che se vogliamo la pizza bisogna aspettare mezzora (palesemente per portarci a scegliere quello che voleva lui , ristorante completamente vuoto solo noi e un altro tavolo)... ordiniamo un primo (fileja fantasia dello chef che non sapevano di niente e non erano più di 50 grammi) un secondo (una fettina di pesce spada alla griglia completamente annegata nell olio) un fritto misto (non più di mezzo calamaro e 3 gamberi talmente salato da essere inmangiabile) e due pizze (materie prime talmente scadenti da non riuscire a mangiarne nemmeno mezza )... dopo mezzora di attesa siamo riusciti ad ordinare ma siamo riusciti a mangiare qualcosa solo 1 ora e 45 minuti dopo....i menù che ci sono stati portati erano diversi dai clienti del posto ... a fine cena quando siamo andati a pagare il conto (davvero salatissimo palesemente per spennare i turisti) abbiamo chiesto di dividere per coppia e il proprietario si è rifiutato deridendoci e dicendoci che non aveva intenzione di pagare la commissione due volte.... in tanti anni non mi era mai successa una cosa...
