BLUESIDE — Restaurant in Budune/Budoni

Title: Poor service and aggressive ‘head’ waiter. I have never been so badly treated at a restaurant. The service was slow; the order mistakenly was ran through twice, leading to two sets of drinks being delivered. When the food arrived, it came cold and my mother in law was served AFTER we had all finished eating. The wait staff were disorganised, slow and unapologetic. Having finished our bottle of wine, I asked for a singular glass of wine and my partner requested a second beer. These did not arrive. We were however charged for these despite informing the waitress that they had forgotten. We politely expressed our dissatisfaction- my parents in law owned an Italian restaurant for 27 years and understand proper service whilst acknowledging the stresses of service and the kitchen. The vitriol we were responded with was disgusting. The waiter was aggressive, unapologetic and asked whether were unable to afford the cost, the cheek! Oggi siamo andati a mangiare per cena al Bluside, sono rimasto sconcertato da questa esperienza ho dato una stella perché impossibile dare zero, ho chiesto la cosa più semplice e classica che si può ordinare in un Ristorante sul mare, Spaghetti alle Vongole! Mi è arrivato un piatto di pasta Precotta, Vongole sgusciate SURGELATE o in SALAMOIA con una mousse intorno di PATATE e Zafferano, insapore tra l'altro 25 gr di pasta!! Vergogna Vergogna!! Il cameriere non sapendo cosa direi dice che loro tirano fuori le Vongole dal guscio!!! Vi rendete conto , quindi secondo lui si cucina una bella padella di Vongole Veraci e poi ci si mette lì a sgusciarle una per una RIDICOLI!! Come se noi non saremmo in grado di riconoscere delle Vongole fresche da quelle CONGELATE e/o in SALAMOIA Dulcis in fondo il Titolare, si è sentito offeso "lui" dalle mie critiche si dovrebbe solo vergognare a proporre un piatto del genere ai suoi clienti. Mi ha risposto è tutto scritto sul menù si tranne che le Vongole non sono fresche e che il piatto è la cosa più nauseabonda che si può servire. Maleducato, Cafone se la prende sul personale quando gli si fanno delle critiche un omuncolo che farebbe meglio a cambiare lavoro. Vedo tante recensioni 5 stelle sono certo che chiede ai suoi amici di metterle. BOCCIATO su tutta la linea Ristoranti così non dovrebbero esistere e Titolari così non dovrebbero lavorare. La sua fortuna stare al centro della piazza dove la povera gente ci cade dentro!! Pane e salame tutta la vita ........ VERGOGNA!! Ho messo la pasta in un sacchetto e l'ho portata al cane .... neanche lui l'ha mangiata alla fine è finita nella spazzatura.... Di certo la prossima volta che vorrò mangiare una ottima pasta con le Vongole... Me la cucinerò da solo a casa visto che sono un cuoco e onestamente la mia cucina surclassa .. la loro di anni luce.

We ate in this Restaurant several time on our Holiday (July 2023) and was not disappointed once. All the staff were very helpful and friendly, We did have to use translate on my phone some times but this made for some very interesting conversations and had so fun with the waitresses. It can get very busy so if you want a table at the front with a lovely view of the harbour and a nice breeze, we would recommend booking. Alessio Pappacena is the head chef and some of the dishes he has invented and also cooked are inspiring. He gets fantastic flavour combinations and taste in every dish.
