Farm Friends of the Hill — Restaurant in Buggiano

Scusatemi l'inglese! We have just stayed at this beautiful agriturismo for a week and were completely and utterly relaxed when we left after enjoying seven days of great food, wonderful views and long afternoons by the stunning pool. Molto, molto tranquillo. The directors are friendly and helpful, always prepared to accommodate requests and to do whatever they could to make my pregnant wife and I more comfortable during a heatwave! The lady who served breakfast and reset the rooms was particularly lovely and welcoming, and the evening meals were a gourmet experience, conducted stylishly and efficiently. The whole place is so clean and tidy. Amici is also a great base for travelling around northern Tuscany, with beautiful Lucca only 20 minutes away and Montecatini-Terme less than 10 minutes away. There are fridges in the rooms and perhaps it would be a good idea if they were stocked with the filtered water produced on-site as we often had to go and buy our own, but that is only a minor issue. Non vediamo l'ora di tornare con nostra bambina tra qualche anni. Un saluto a Drugo e Gattona :)...

It's great location, nice view, nice pool, excellent restaurant. But.... we arrived there a Saturday afternoon they were preparing for a wedding (do not forget to ask before making the reservation, they did not tell us about it) so the pool was already closed ;-( After a hot day at about 35 it was not really a pleasant surprise...we used jacuzzi instead. The day after, Sunday, they had another organised lunch (that we did not know about it either). If you do not have any problem going to the pool in front of nice dressed people, then fine.||Another less than average point is the breakfast. I've never seen such a poor breakfast in an agriturismo. ||But the dinner we had there was excellent!||The spa is very nice, the guy doing the massages is really good.||The room was big enough with lots of space (we were 4), but no balcony, no terrace, a bit outdated. The air conditioning was poor, it was very hot at this time of year (July 2015).||To conclude: nice place to go out, but I would...
