Al Maniero — Restaurant in Caccamo

I honestly don't understand the magic of this place. The staff couldn't be bothered, the sandwiches are as basic as a piece of bread with two sausages (nothing else), or fried bits.

The only good bit is that they were kind to bring our sandwiches to the tables oustide, across the road. Even then, they forgot one of the three, and it took another 15 minutes for a "hot dog" to show up. It was Monday, so I guess no one was in the mood, and it was simply, too hot outside to care.

For a moment there I thought this whole thing was a joke, especially right after a lousy experience in the Caffé Royale across the road, but there was nothing else open, which seems acceptable in this little village lost in the middle of...

We come to Caccamo often. The other day we decided to have lunch at Al Maniero. This was one of the best decisions we have made this trip. Our lunch was delicious. We enjoyed every dish. What makes this small take out restaurant special is the staff. They are very friendly, and will do their best to make sure you get what you want. Whether it's on the menu or not. They have a lovely outside seating area that has spectacular mountain views. Since coming here the other day, we have eaten here often.
