Clean room, air con worked well but it leaked a lot inside the room onto the tile floor. Very noisy on the busiest road and corner in town. I did ask for a quiet room as I’d read the reviews about the noise but was given the corner, front room on level 1. The shutter didn’t help. Music blasting until after midnight at the bar opposite, dogs barking, trucks reversing, trail bikes and motorbikes non stop through the night. Deliveries started at 6am downstairs and from 4.45am, a guest two rooms away was coughing and sniffing and turning taps on and off for what felt like an eternity. Clearly no insulation to hear all that! No info given at check-in at all. Pasta special for lunch was nice, pizza dinner very average. Booked direct as could only offer an apartment at higher price. When we went to our apartment it had not been cleaned and it smelled of cigarette smoke. Advised the waitress who was looking after reception and after several phone calls said it would be an hour. We waited in The restaurant, ordered a small platter of salami and cheese while we were waiting. No apology! We had walked on via Francigena and were tired. The receptionist came and said we could have the adjacent apartment which had been available all this time. Very poor communication after waiting an hour. Then to rub salt in the wound they charged us 19.50 Eu for the megre plate of antipasto. We did not eat in the restaurant that night.
