Hotel Ristorante da Righetto — Restaurant in Campagnano di Roma

We arrived on the last Sunday of April when the town was in party mood. Young and old were dressed up in medieval costume and it was obvious this event has strong historical and community ties. The day culminated in donkey racing up the main street.||But back to our accommodation. Great situation in the middle of the main street and as we had a front facing room we had a grandstand view of the donkey racing. We ate in the hotel dining. We had the fixed menu as part of our deal. We were on a walking holiday. The food was OK but there was no evidence of great food although we had been told the restaurant was Michelin recommended- whatever that means. Mi riferisco all'Hotel.

Ho soggiornato presso questa struttura per lavoro, in inverno. Di pro ha che le camere sono esteticamente carine. I pro sono finiti. Le cose sgradevoli invece sono numerose e fastidiose: in camera non c'è riscaldamento se non quello offerto da una pompa di calore che è necessario tenere sempre accesa, non senza fastidi. In bagno non c'è alcun riscaldamento, neanche un termoarredo, quindi se chiudi la porta si gela. il quadro elettrico emetteva un ronzio fastidiosissimo e probabile indice di malfunzionamenti. il materasso duro come il marmo la coperta non particolarmente pulita la colazione povera e non chiara presso il bar (cosa è incluso? Cosa no? Oltre ai cornetti e al pane con la marmellata c'è altro?) lo shampoo di cortesia visibilmente usato (mezzo vuoto e con sigillo rotto) quando siamo arrivati, l'unica preoccupazione dell'oste è stata farci pagare subito, senza neanche farci vedere le stanze o dedicare qualche minuto all'accoglienza, perché il giorno dopo doveva andare in ferie. Diritto sacrosanto, ma se devi offrire un servizio così, piuttosto tieni chiuso che fai miglior figura.

Fin qui avrei potuto dare 3 stelle, ma quello su cui veramente non riesco a soprassedere è lo sporco. Dopo una doccia tiepida, uscito nel bagno gelido, ho acceso il phon (che funzionava male) e mi sono ritrovato addosso grumi di polvere nera e bruciata (foto del lavandino). Lo schifo, il tutto per 80 euro a notte la doppia uso singolo, non proprio economico.

This hotel is more than 400 years old ! It was such an experience! The walls are thick and the stairs are steep but it's worth the stay. It is quaint and charming. The rooms were small as was the bathroom , but the staff was nice and very accommodating.
