Naif — Restaurant in Cannole

Tonight we paid a visit to Naif more or less on the blind. We were welcomed by a friendly staff who were most forthcoming and did their best to help me with my limited grasp of Italian and switched to English when the conversation stalled. We asked for advise on the dishes and went for the Crudo with Burata, the beef with a reduced red wine sauce and a panacotta with dark chocolate sauce and tartufo bianco for dessert. Comincio a dirvi che la posizione è perfetta, è bello soprattutto parcheggiare in piazza e fare quei 90m a piedi. La location, l’ambiente è molto carino, i luoghi separati dove ci sono tavoli, noi ci siamo accomodati nel primo piano bellissima vista da sopra. Vi parlo prima del servizio e poi del mangiare, per tutta la sera si è occupato di noi un ragazzo giovane e professionista, educato e gentile; il mangiare buonissimo: abbiamo ordinato un tagliere di salumi e formaggi , vi dico che i salumi erano buonissimi (ecco una cosa che non mi è piaciuta il fatto che c’era scritto salumi e formaggi, arriva il tagliere con salumi ok e 4 pezzi di formaggio), poi abbiamo ordinato due arrosti misti che erano deliziosissimi con un po’ di insalata e patatine fritte come contorno. Restaurant moyen - antipasti meilleurs que le plat de pâtes - linguine alle vongole - trop fade! Beaucoup de produits surgelés dans les plats du jour! Dommage - une carte plus courte mais avec de produits locaux et de saison aurait mieux convenu! Les serveurs ne savent pas conseiller ou proposer ! Très Mauvaise organisation- ils ont 6-7 serveurs- on les a tous vu - un par un - défilant à notre table comme aux autres tables bien sûr !!!! Le patron a des yeux que pour les habitants et connaissances du lieu!!! En effet nous sommes des touristes en quête de bons produits et d’une vraie gastronomie de Salentino - donc pas intéressants pour lui - Il n’a même pas dit un Ciao - où s’enquérir si tout était bien- quand on est partis en payant à la caisse les 27 €/ pers !
