Antica Osteria Gocce di Sapore — Restaurant in Canzo

I will tell you my experience with my wife. We arrived at the place at 21, we received the menu after 24 minutes sitting drinking water, while the other customers (who spoke Italian) were being well attended at all time.

The waiter, despite giving preference to the locals, when he finally served us, he was very polite and friendly.

After finally getting the menu and ordering our dishes. In a matter of another 10 minutes they brought us bread in the very dry case and another 15 minutes two small bowls with buratta the chef's style that, I don't know if because I was already purple with hunger, but it was very good.

In short, from the other reviews I saw here, I found it overrated.

Being in Italy to visit family, we ended up in the beautiful Canzo and we decided to have a Ferragosto lunch here. What a great idea! Delicious extra-virgin olive oil with bread and focaccia, yummy pasta dishes, wine, desserts and coffee (A la carte menu). Despite they were super busy on the 15th of August, the staff were super kind and professional, they never stopped smiling, and they really looked after us. We highly recommend going to Canzo for a walk (you can visit Fonti Gajum) and to stop for a great culinary experience at Osteria...

Posto caloroso e molto accogliente, i titolari ti ricevono con una gentilezza estrema. Lo chef ti da il ben venuto con una gradevole crema di patate e granella di acciughe soffritto (spero di ricordare bene gli ingredienti!), Come primo abbiamo mangiato un piat di Raviolo aperto, sfilacciato di maiale, spuma al parmigiano e un piatto di Raviolo aperto, sfilacciato di maiale, spuma al parmigiano, acciughe del Cantabrico. Come secondo un piatto di Brasato di manzo, polenta mantecata, abbiamo completato con un dolce a base di Variazione di panna cotta, biscotto, gelato allo yogurt. Il sommelier ci ha proposto con molta professionalità un buonissimo Sassella della Valtellina. Superfluo dire che ogni cura dei dettagli negli ingredienti era a dir poco azzeccata, mai mangiato abbinamenti così tanto particolari quanto gustosi e indescrivibili. Dettaglio non indifferente, nel menù vengono indicati in modo dettagliato tutti gli ingredienti presenti nelle varie pietanze in modo da poterne individuare eventuali allergeni per chi è intollerante. Faccio i miei più sinceri complimenti a tutto lo staff e posso soltanto dire un arrivederci poiché sono molto sicuro che l'Antica Osteria Gocce di Sapore è sicuramente uno di quei posti in cui recarsi ogni qualvolta che ci si trova da quelle parti. Rinnovo i miei complimenti e grazie della conviviale ospitalità....
