Osteria Il Colle — Restaurant in Capannori

To tourists - I’m sure other Osteria’s have great food around. Il Colle doesn’t just have great food, but the small Italian village atmosphere that you can only find in the hills. I would give the service and atmosphere 6/5 if I could. The service is only in Italian, but the servers (ours was Francesco, he’s amazing) will do their best to meet your needs and make your experience. Francesco helped us order and was determined to make us happy during all parts of our experience.

We tried the house wine, and made friends with the groups around us. They encouraged us to try the meloncello, and I will never be going back to lemoncello again. Also, the pasta was the best quality I’ve had and it had the homemade touch. Seems like grandma just made it in the kitchen.

There will be parts of your meal where you don’t know what’s happening due to the language barrier, just enjoy, trust your waiter, and laugh together. Also, amazing value.

Ci sono stato ieri sera a cena,in 10 persone,siamo stati decisamente male, Il il personale è scortese,abbiamo chiesto 7 porzioni di tordelli,ci hanno detto che ne avevano 2/3 porzioni,un commensale ha esclamato “è roba da matti” (come voler dire,vai a cena in un posto e non hanno nemmeno quello che hanno scritto sul menù) e la cameriera si è anche permessa di rispondere in maniera poco educata,per fortuna comunque che ne avevano solo 3 porzioni perché non erano nemmeno buoni! L’altra cameriera ci ha tolto anche dei calici per apparecchiare un altro tavolo,ovviamente presi e messi sull’altro tavolo,senza nemmeno pulirli. Il vino rosso era bollente,uno di noi ha provato a chiedere se era possibile averne di più fresco,la solita cameriera simpatica ci ha detto che il vino rosso non si mette in frigo,vero,ma nemmeno in forno! Era imbevibile! A stento siamo arrivati alla fine del secondo,e da qui non siamo stati più presi in considerazione,ne a chiederci se volevamo un caffè ne un dolce,dopo più di mezz’ora senza essere calcolati,ci siamo alzati e siamo andati a saldare il conto senza prendere ne caffè ne dolci. 2 taglieri per 4 persone (oggettivamente i salumi erano veramente buoni) 3 tordelli 2 ravioli spinaci con salsa di noci 2 tagliatelle alla boscaiola 4 tagliate (di cui una richiesta senza pecorino ma arrivata col pecorino) 1 baccalà 5 fritto di pollo e coniglio 7 patate arrosto (ho sentito altri tavoli che dopo di noi avevano finito anche le PATATE!!!!)
