Ristorante Le Colonne — Restaurant in Capannori

During our vacation in August 2018 we were eating here 2 or 3 times a week. Pre-order is urgently recommended. The owner with his wife and children served us friendly and accommodating. The restaurant could be renovated, but the view was fantastic. The antipasti and bruscetta were excellent, as were the pizzas. From the noodles and the mixed grill we were not so pleased. The desserts like Creme Brulee and Crema Catalan with forest fruits were very delicious. Everything in everything we felt very comfortable...

A taste of times gone by. Not sure if I want to leave this review here as I fear it will encourage more tourists there and we don't want it ruined! Extremely honest pricing and portions, humble and outstanding actual local Italian cuisine. There are very few places left like that, especially in tourist areas. Reminds me of what I sued to know as a restaurant when I are up in Italy..part of a very normal WEEKLY routine of going to eat some food with friends. Try before it goes the same way...

I thought the food in Firenze was amazing... WOW! even though this place is tacked in Tuscany country side it was one of the best restaurants EVER! You got to try their Pizza - perfect crust with fresh toppings. Their beef tartar with mushroom was huge and fresh I'd guess at least 250g of meat. The Truffle pasta was cooked to perfection and giving just a small hint...
