Was really disappointed with this place. We'd been recommended so was expecting good things, esp as it was family run and well established, so you'd wonder how they could go far wrong. When we walked in the place was really busy, and luckily they found us a table (note, worth booking ahead).

We waited a while for our orders to be taken by the man we presume to be the owner. Some of my party thought he was rude, I thought he was just busy and stressed. He certainly has a quirky personality that I think could be misunderstood and taken badly...he answered his phone while serving us, and clearly didn't have a huge amount of time for us, which made the experience very stressful.

Once the pizzas arrived, they were dissapointing. Base was crunchy, like a cracker without a hint of soft or chewiness that one should expect from a pizza. The toppings were fine, but too much cheese and so felt very salty.

I realise the response to this review will be that I am an English tourist and therefore know nothing about good pizza, which is of course untrue, since I am Italian and have been making pizza with my nonna from a young age, I own a pizza oven and I have spent a lot of time travelling italy in search of a good pizza. Sadly,...

This place was recommended to us as it offers traditional food from Tuscany. The location is perfect, the staff are friendly ( and speak English) and the prices are much better than in the main cities. Beer is €4 compared to €7 in the city. The locals we noticed were mostly eating pizza but we wanted regional food. We ordered 4 dishes. Meat, fish , vegetables and sausages. We were more than disappointed with all. My dish ( 2 sausages on white beans) was extremely poor - sausages so dry that the skin was as thick as leather served on white beans heated with no moisture for 30 minutes too long in their oven. Why did we not complain then? We put it down to a bad experience and We have to assume that real Tuscany food is very dry -overcooked and tasteless- I would love to write something better as it all started so well, but the truth is the food was poor and it ruined our evening. If this is an example of real Tuscany food-I can understand why people eat so much Pizza- and if it is not a good representation of Tuscany food then it should never have...

We found this place last minute and just showed up on a Saturday evening. The staff were very kind to find us a lovely table outside. Food and Drinks were very good quality and the service was brilliant and friendly. We were surprised (as it's in a small village) to find that all staff spoke English and there were a few groups of English tourists. Lots of parking available.

Seems to be very popular with takeaway pizza.

They have a great wine cellar. Wine is reasonably priced and you can buy to take away

We had a...
