Ristorante Cima 11 — Restaurant in Caprino Veronese

Without doubt, the worst evening on our holiday at Lake Garda. This establishment came highly recommended by our B&B host, so we willingly made the long journey up the mountain to the middle of nowhere in the dark. Very indifferent welcome, and indifferent service, impatient and unfriendly. Clearly this is a place for Italians and they make no allowance for English guests. I can speak basic conversational Italian, so I really did make an effort, but when I asked the waitress to please slow down (when she was addressing us in Italian), she simply became impatient and stroppy. Vegetables/salads come on a trolley and are cold. My food was completely and utterly tasteless (starter and main course) and both were absolutely swimming in butter (the mound of polenta for starter literally had a moat of melted butter all around it). Owner is unfriendly and impatient if you are not yet ready to order when he comes to your table. We didn't finish our food or our wine, and didn't bother with dessert. Nobody bid us farewell...

It is simply one of the best restaurants one can find in northern italy! It is usual that a place is good in one aspect and ordinary in others. But this restaurant have accomplished perfection in more than a few dimentions:

An amazing combination of local cusines, pastas with truffle and wunderbare pilze, with great profi staff.

I can imaginethat in sommer the balcony becomes a must, since the view is semi-panoramic over the valley and sorrounding hills.

By the way! Do not forget the pastery as dessert.

A pochi chilometri da Caprino Veronese in località Porcino trovate questa trattoria tipica sobria all'apparenza ma piena di risorse. Il locale è carino niente di fantascientifico una tipica trattoria locale gestita in maniera impeccabile dal proprietario sia nel servizio che nei prodotti che offre alla clientela, cosa che posso garantire viste le ripetute esperienze avute sempre positive. Come antipasti i tradizionali, ma di qualità, affetati accompagnati da una giardiniera sottaceto fantastica e dai famosissimi formaggini sotto olio, sono come le ciliege non smettereste mai di mangiarli. I primi tutti buonissimi, la pasta fatta in casa ma menzione speciale per Cima 11: I RISOTTI, i loro risotti sono i più buoni mai mangiati, da veronese ho mangiato tantissimi risotti ma come i risotti del Cima 11 non ne ho mai mangiati nemmeno in ristoranti stellati e pluripremiati. A molti può sembrare strano mangiare il risotto con i funghi perchè potrebbe sembrare un piatto "da casa" e non da ristorante ma quando avrete assaggiato il loro risotto ai funghi capirete e ne ordinerete un secondo piatto, cremoso, saporito una delizia, anche i risotti che stagionalmente cambiano tutti squisiti come per esempio il risotto con gli asparagi di una cremosità imbattibile. I secondi di carne ottimi come capriolo, coniglio, tagliata o pastisada de caval allietati dal fornitissimo carrello dei formaggi-confetture-mostarde. Come vini presentano etichette del luogo tra le quali da segnalare Monte Zovo, cantina vicina al locale con il loro buonissimo Ca'linverno un IGT rosso.
