Incredible. This was probably the best dining experience we've had across our entire Venice/Lake Garda trip. We stumbled upon this restaurant on a Tuesday evening and found ourselves the only couple having dinner.

We were looked after by Natalia all evening who begun by pouring us a glass of complimentary prosecco. She was really warm and hospitable, making the experience as enjoyable for us as possible - even tailoring the music to our taste.

The quality of the food was evident from the start, with homemade bread and butter setting the tone. We specifically wanted organic red wine, which the kitchen managed to find. The Bardolino Vinicio, from a local estate, was light, fruity, and delicious. The best part? It was only €2 for a generous glass. Having attended a wine tasting the day before, we were able to recognize its quality.

Our mains were stunning. We ordered the truffle tagliatelle and lamb, both cooked superbly - Nonna approved for sure. The portion sizes were generous, offering incredible value. For dessert, we tried the tiramisu, which was homemade and unique compared to typical versions - definitely worth trying.

We finished with Natalia's recommendation of acqua cello, a smoother version of limoncello, which was also on the house.

The whole experience, including mains, dessert, and wine, came to just €60 for the two of us. It was truly a 10/10 experience, and more people need to discover this gem! Whilst Cima 11 may be popular, we recommend you give Al Vecchio Forno a go, it...

Un po' deludente ad essere onesti. L'ambiente è bello e molto pulito. Tavoli estremamente curati, posate lucide, bei bicchieri, belle decorazioni all'interno e all'esterno e il servizio è cortese e amichevole.

The host went out of his way to give us the most amazing evening. Although he only spoke Italian, he still managed to provide us with great food/wine recommendations and tell us about the history of the restaurant. It all added to the great atmosphere. The food was just perfect. Fantastic home made bread and only high quality, local ingredients. Both the beef and trout tartar were delicious and the pasta with pesto and white fish was out of this world. We would also highly recommend the beef slices with black truffle. As desserts we had cheese cake with red fruit and chocolate fondant with pear; both were amazing. As you would expect from such a traditional Italian restaurant, the perfect evening finished with a nice glass of limoncello...

Gradita sorpresa all’arrivo del conto.
