Osteria I' Ficarello — Restaurant in Carmignano

This was my best experience in Italy. I had visited a vineyard close by and I was looking for a place to eat. I was afraid I wouldn’t find a place to eat because it was already 3 pm. When I entered I was greeted by a wonderful woman. Then the cook inside came to greet me. The food was wonderful. Before I left, they offered me a drink to try and gave me some pastries to take with me as a gift. Another cook came from the kitchen to say me goodbye. I felt like they were my family. It was a wonderful experience. I didn’t have words to express my gratitude. I was very touched by their kindness and generosity. I want come back one day to Italy and visit them again. I’ll never forget this wonderful experience. They went above and beyond to make me happy...

I FICARELO Una casina tutta colorata, un ristorante piccino piccino, con tanti trabiccoli appesi. La lista delle vivande che si rinnova ogni giorno scritta a mano su un foglietto...... Due omoni neri grandi e grossi improbabili camerieri, piatti apparentemente semplici con tanto cibo sopraffino..... Una giusta lentezza e conto piccino piccino! In cucina forse una maga o una fatina con la bacchetta magica e un guerriero maori tutto dipinto, ma non è un miracolo o una stregoneria, è la realtà di ogni giorno, bravissimi.
