A small cafe in the middle of the marble mountains around Carrara. The local 'lardo' is a pork fat on bread and it is so tasty 😋! I also tried the local pasta: Testaroli Al Pesto. Everything was delicious, especially when washed down with a glass of beer! The staff were attentive and very helpful describing the food and helping us decide. You'll see plenty of loaded down trucks and their drivers taking a break, and while not a fancy place, the food is fantastic and the staff welcoming and pleasant. Great wines and atmosphere whether you sit inside or out. Nice rack of sweets and some nice marble souvenirs. I would make it a point to have an appetite ready for this place after you've toured the mines, it will cap off...
