U Zapparieddu — Restaurant in Caselle in Pittari

I'm an American tourist who just loves exploring off-the-beaten-path places, and let me tell you, I hit the jackpot in Cilento! Tucked away in this charming region, I stumbled upon this amazing little restaurant that completely blew my mind.

First off, the ambiance is just what you'd hope for in a quaint Italian setting — rustic, cozy, and filled with the warm, welcoming spirit of Italy. The moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a treat.

Now, let's talk food! I'm a big fan of Italian cuisine back home, but nothing could have prepared me for the explosion of flavors here. I tried their local specialty (whose name I can't pronounce but will never forget the taste of), and it was simply divine. The pasta was cooked to perfection, the sauce was rich and flavorful, and the ingredients were so fresh, they must have been picked right before serving!

And the wine, oh the wine! It paired perfectly with my meal, and the staff were super helpful in recommending the best one to go with the dish I chose.

But what really made my experience special was the hospitality. The staff treated me like family, and their passion for food and their culture was infectious. They even shared some cooking tips with me!

To all my fellow travelers, if you find yourself in Cilento, do yourself a favor and visit this place. It's not just a meal; it's an experience that you'll cherish. I can't wait...

LOCATION: 5 Poca attenzione alla visibilità del ristorante, scarso parcheggio, tantissime cromature in sala "troppe cianfrusaglie" e musica alta "disco" appena entrati.

MENU: 4 Menu "FISSO" di Ferragosto Antipasto: Vari affettati, formaggi e altro Normale Mediocre Stendiamo un velo pietoso Pessimo Buona Buono ALTO peccato!!!

Comunque, e solo imandato per un'altra occasione...dove vorrei mangiare dei veri piatti "scelti dal sottoscritto" senza un MENU FISSO, poiché, sono stato informato della bontà culinaria...

Ci siamo trovati in questo locale consigliato da alcuni amici (che dobbiamo assolutamente ringraziare!!!) Location carinissima, curata nei dettagli e tipica del territorio. Veniamo accolti con calore, simpatia ed educazione. Ci tengo a sottolineare che tutto il personale era munito di mascherine, temperatura misurata appena arrivata, distanze mantenute minuziosamente e tanto gel a disposizione di tutti. Abbiamo ordinato un antipasto "Zapparieddu", qualcosa di mai mangiato prima! Vario, abbondante, sfizioso e ben fatto. I fusilli con il cinghiale (piatto del giorno, non presente nel menù ma consigliato visto che era stato appena fatto) sono stati una vera chicca che hanno fatto vivere la vera essenza del locale. I secondi a dir poco superlativi... carne di prima scelta e cotti a puntino! Una grigliata mista spettacolare (dimenticatevi i soliti assaggini striminziti, qua si mangia veramente!) ed un tomahawk veramente di proporzioni "giurassiche" hanno concluso un pasto che non dimenticheremo facilmente! Il conto? Beh sicuramente ragionevelo e in proporzione a tutto il ben di dio mangiato! Non capisco chi ne possa parlare male! Ultimo appunto: un complimento particolare allo chef che ha saputo cogliere le giuste note di un palato...
