We have been fortunate to dine in many great restaurants, but none have been more wonderful than Chef Lanteri and his wife Amy's Ristorante Marc Lanteri. Fabulous setting with gorgeous views....check. Wonderful ambience....check. Amazing cheeses paired with stunning wine....check (thanks to Amy for helping us with our choices). Attentive service with Amy at the helm....check,check. Food reasonably priced and all dishes to die for in an intimate setting.....check, check, check! How many chefs come out from the kitchen to check on your meal.....Marc, surprisingly, did just that. Do yourself a favor and reserve a table when you are in this marvelous area of Italy. We have many happy memories of our visit to this wonderful area of the world, but none finer than our incredible dining experience at Ristorante Marc Lanteri. Bravo Marc and Amy, bravo!!! When we entered the restaurant, our hostess, Amy, greeted us warmly and showed us to a table overlooking a beautiful view of the vineyards and hills of Piemonte. From that moment until the moment we left at the end of the meal, our experience was phenomenal. The four of us chose one of the tasting menus accompanied by 3 local wines and we were thrilled with every dish and every wine we were served. The foie gras was superb, the fish was glistening and succulent, the pasta was expertly prepared, the meat was tender and scrumptious, and the dessert provided the perfect finish. I have food allergies and the chef accommodated my needs without sacrificing the taste or the beauty of any dish. Italians tend to be foodies, so we have come to expect good meals in Italy, but this meal was the best we have ever eaten.
