La Rotonda di Casteldaccia — Restaurant in Casteldaccia

We were recommended to visit this place by our villa host. Absolutely loved eating here so much so that i forgot to take photos of the food the first time around.

Parking was super easy as the venue has its own car parking space which issues a card on entry that can be validated after your meal. Keep in mind, the card is only valid while you are seated so you'll need to find alternative parking if you are going elsewhere after.

Its a large spacious diner with a huge selection on the menu. The menus have an English version which is available by scanning a qr code.

We ate the fresh pizzas, margarita, eggplant pizza and the fresh crusty olive oil pizza sticks. Just delicious! After this we went for a walk along to coast which is just across the street!

We returned on another occasion for lunch and had the best ice cream in a brioche bun and smoked salmon sandwiches. The ingredients were so fresh and delicious!

There is also a takeaway area next door which allows for grab and go food orders.

A huge thank you to the staff who accommodated and put up with our large group! they were really attentive and helpful.

We hope to return then next time we visit this...

A Tale Of Two Dinings: On the first day of our holiday, nearby, we rocked up to the Rotonda and, as the waiting list for the restaurant seemed very long, we opted for a takeaway from their cafe next door. We were pleasantly surprised to be afforded one of their few tables and a short menu. We picked an epic Spaghetti Vongole (the best I've ever eaten) and a superior Pizza to share. Both were truly excellent with a bonus, as desert. of an ice cream cone from the ice cream bar. The service was cordial and the atmosphere was local and lively. The whole meal came to under €30 for 2. A Five Star experience. On the last day of our short stay we opted for the restaurant and were prepared to stand in line - which as it happened was not that long a wait. More expensive (+50%) than the cafe, not as good an atmosphere and the service indifferent. Same quality food but a 4 star dining experience. After a pleasant "passegiata" along a quaint beach we came across La Rotonda that offered us King size Aperol sundowners and appitisers . We later went upstairs to an amazing terrace overlooking the beach mountains and gardens. We were treated to some amazing salads and seafood finishing with delecious deserts and Marsala desert wines ( made famous by Lord Nelson for supplying the Royal Navy in 1800s to suppliment Port and Sherry supplies).
