As the crowning moment of my tour in Italy, I went to the last regular season Juve Stabia match against Sampdoria. After the game, I got hungry and just a few steps from the stadium, I found this place. As I had already experienced, the best food is always where the locals are lining up. That was the case here too. Ordering without any knowledge of Italian wasn’t easy, but the staff proved to be extremely patient and helpful. With a little help from Google and other guests, I managed to order a Siciliana pizza. I learned that melanzane and funghetto mean eggplant. While the food was baking, we chatted as much as we could. The helpfulness, zest for life, and kindness of the people from southern Italy always impress me. At the end, one of the chefs gave me a ride on his scooter to the Panoramica near my accommodation—no taxi or anything else allowed, and they wouldn’t let me walk. There, I ate the pizza while it was still warm, gazing at Mount Vesuvius from my window. This eggplant-salsiccia combo was fantastic, and the dough was excellent too.

Unfortunately, this year Stabia didn’t make it from the playoffs to Serie A, but they will next year. I feel it. If I’m around the area again, I’ll definitely stop by this...

Ho recentemente avuto il piacere di visitare la pizzeria 26morsi, una piccola pizzeria che ha decisamente superato le mie aspettative. La qualità della pizza è eccezionale: la pasta è favolosa e gli ingredienti freschi e saporiti. La varietà di scelta è ampia, con opzioni che vanno dalle classiche margherita e quattro stagioni a creazioni più originali che delizieranno anche i palati più esigenti.

Il personale è gentile e disponibile, questo contribuisce a creare un’atmosfera accogliente e piacevole, nonostante l'assenza di posti a sedere all'interno. La pizzeria offre infatti solo due piccoli tavolini a bordo strada, il che può essere un limite per chi preferisce mangiare comodamente seduto.
