We stumbled upon Il Comitato quite by chance on our way to Matera, and it turned out to be one of the great surprises of our trip. The owner welcomed us with warmth that we immediately felt at good. We started with a beautifully prepared Angus beef carpaccio and for the main courses, the two pasta dishes and risotto were outstanding: perfectly cooked and great flavor and ingredients. Il Comitato is truly a gem, combining exceptional food, genuine hospitality, and a wonderful ambiance. We left with happy hearts and full stomachs, already planning to return someday.

Seems newly stablished we went in with the idea of having a drink and snack on something but realized they had also warm dishes and were positively surprised by the quality . We had octopus, tuna accompanied with drinks water and coffee and paid 45€ . The owners are very nice and accommodating. We were at lunch time but seems they have a nice space to have a drink in the evening

Sono un turista coreano. Mi sono fermato perché avevo fame. Il proprietario è stato molto gentile e mi ha spiegato il menu con le foto, anche se non parlo italiano. Ho preso un piatto con prosciutto e formaggio, ed era fantastico. C'è anche un parcheggio gratuito nelle vicinanze. L'interno è moderno. È il migliore. 👍🏻 저는 한국에서 온 관광객입니다. 지나가다 배고파서 들렀어요. 주인은 정말 친절했고, 이탈리아어를 하지 못하는 나를 위해 그림을 보여주며 메뉴 설명을 해주었습니다. (점심에는 메뉴가 한정적인거 같아요.) 프로슈토와 치즈가 올라간 음식을 먹었고 그것은 굉장했어요. 주변에 무료 주차도 됩니다. 최고에요!!!

Sono un turista coreano. Mi sono fermato perché avevo fame. Il proprietario è stato molto gentile e mi ha spiegato il menu con le foto, anche se non parlo italiano. Ho preso un piatto con prosciutto e formaggio, ed era fantastico. C'è anche un parcheggio gratuito nelle vicinanze. L'interno è moderno. We really enjoyed our evening at Il Comitato. On the one hand the food was very tasty and fresh. We chose from a very creatively put together menue of italian dishes which the owner helped us to navigate through. On the other hand the whole atmosphere was very special because of the modern interior concept which, combined with the friendly service, felt very cozy. We also really enjoyed our conversation with the owners and the tasty liquor we were askes to try in the end. A truly inspiring...
