Osteria Anna — Restaurant in Castelnuovo Parano

Osteria Anna is a family-run restaurant serving excellent regional food. The place is tastefully decorated, with a charming and intimate atmosphere; when the weather is nice and the temperatures are mild it is lovely even to just sit outside under the pergola to sip a glass of wine. Having had the pleasure of eating there several times, I can say that the experience has been consistently excellent. The food is prepared with high-quality locally sourced ingredients, with most of them displayed on shelves in the restaurant room, from where you can also peek into the kitchen, often seeing cooks preparing hand-made ravioli and tagliatelle. A detail about the care they take for their guests is that a substantial portion of the restaurant floor is devoted to a children play area, with a good assortment of books and toys for most ages; very few restaurants are willing to sacrifice precious retail space for their guests'...

Pur trovandosi in una posizione non molto favorevole, il locale è molto carino, sia all'esterno che all'interno, con una buona musica ed una piacevole atmosfera. Leggendo il menù ci si rende subito conto dell'attenzione che si ha per le materie prime, molti prodotti sono presidio Slow Food. Antipasto molto sfizioso, salumi e formaggi davvero buoni, stessa cosa per i primi, sia per la qualità della pasta, che del condimento e nell'esecuzione del piatto. Dolce anche davvero buono, insomma abbiamo mangiato tutto e di gusto, meno che il secondo, purtroppo la nota dolente. Abbiamo scelto di prendere un hamburger di bufalo, prima di ordinarlo ci siamo voluti assicurare che fosse realizzato con sola carne di bufalo e la signorina che ci ha servito al tavolo per tutta la serata e che ritengo sia molto attenta, cordiale e preparata, ci ha risposto di sì. Purtroppo una volta assaggiato, ci siamo resi conto che qualcosa non andava, non era un hamburger realizzato con un pezzo di carne macinato semplicemente, l'impressione è che fosse uno di quelli surgelati o confezionati, dove all'interno trovi fecola di patate e aromi vari. Ne siamo rimasti delusi, tanto da non terminarlo e proprio perché è stata l'unica portata non all'altezza del resto abbiamo voluto farlo notare, ma avendo poca soddisfazione. Ci è stato riferito che fosse confezionato, non surgelato, e non altro. Ecco, avremmo gradito, un pochino di attenzione in più e semmai un occhio di riguardo, che potesse essere offrire il caffè o altro, ma non sta a me dare suggerimenti del genere. L'accaduto ci è dispiaciuto particolarmente perché siamo rimasti davvero entusiasti di tutto, del locale, della cucina, del servizio ed è un peccato che una sola portata abbia "rovinato" il tutto. A beautiful restaurant, wonderful food and welcoming owners. Osteria Anna was easily the best restaurant we visited whilst in Italy. So good we returned the following day.
