Their pizza is a disgrace to Sardinia and Italy. We had the best seat with a fantastic view and the servers were all nice, despite one rushing off before taking my drink order.
Now, the payment system was another issue. We wanted to tip a particularly nice waiter, but the grumpy, cigarette-reeking woman at the front desk, with her foul attitude, made it difficult. She barely spoke English and pointed us to a tip jar. Thankfully, we didn't leave anything there, as the chefs and owners deserve none of it. The service fee was also huge, which was frustrating since we weren’t even served bread.
Then there was the food. My girlfriend's parma pizza looked mediocre, and the Rustica pizza was even worse—soggy, fatty, with pieces glued together by strings of cheese and covered in oil and grease. Both of us have had stomach problems for two days. If you enjoy food that makes you physically ill, this place is for you. I'm convinced many reviews are fake. Their menu is overwhelming, with pages of increasingly bizarre dishes. Plus, the bathrooms were dirty and stank—never a good sign. Pommes frites on...
Read moreNice and cosy place on top of a hill/mountain. The view from the tables on the side is amazing, see included photo. Also the road the leads up to the place has a great view (Sunset photo).
The staff is friendly and also speaks some decent English (which is not a given thing around here). We got the pizza Allegra, which tasted as good as it seemed on the menu, besides some burned spots on the crust.
Speaking of the menu, there is an absurd amount of choices for pizza's. There are at least 50 different options, and pizza isn't the only thing on the menu.
Glutenfree also seemed an option, for those who want/need that. Though, I did not see what it is they have glutenfree and cannot be sure it is 100% clean.
Would surely come back here if my stay was longer to try some of the other pizza's or other menu items. They also have some traditional Sardinian options (Pizza's and other food).
Price/quality is definitely good. A well sized pizza is available from €6 or €7, with some more filled pizza's only...
Read moreWe went here as we’re vegan and it was one of few places with vegan menu options. We didn’t book, so had to wait a short time for a table. It was really busy, so it took a long time for anyone to take our drinks or food order, we had to go and find someone. The staff member that took our order was friendly, but unfortunately due to a language barrier they took down the wrong order and tried to bring us beef… We did say we were vegan, and had pointed at the items on the menu, but somehow something got lost in translation when ordering. The staff member was quite insistent we had ordered beef, which was a bit awkward and uncomfortable, but thankfully we weren’t charged for it. The vegan food we did have was OK. It is a large restaurant, pretty loud when busy, but with some lovely views back towards the castle. I like the fact there is a decent sized vegan menu, and that the restaurant supports a local animal charity (a cause close to my heart). I think we just had an unlucky experience on...
