Ristorante Pizzeria Mistral — Restaurant in Castheddu/Castelsardo

Place came highly recommended but was really a let down. Lets begin with saying that the service was terrible. We would need to ask several times for things like water, napkins, etc. One of the people at the table spilled their drink right in front of them and no one offered to help or drink us something to dry it off with.

The food was okay. We had the cheese and salumi platter which was barely enough for 1 person. The gnocchetti sardi were very good but the pasta marinara, horse fillet, and mixed grilled meat platters were a disappointment. The horse steaks came out cold and with little seasoning. The grilled meat was hot but with very little seasoning. The only other highlight were the oven (or baked) potatoes that were delicious slices of potatoes cooked in oil and salt.

We also had the selodas for dessert which were good. We learned from a local to ask for it with lemon peel on top and that really made all...

Don't make my mistake and eat at a restaurant because it has a beautiful view. Usually, the food is not good because people eat there for the view.

The parking "lot" is very small, as it fits only 2 cars, and getting out of it is extremely dangerous because you have to back out onto oncoming traffic in a curve! So, I would find parking somewhere else.

The food is poor quality. We ordered fried calamari and cotoletta di pollo with French fries. The calamari were rubbery and fried in old oil, as they had changed color in the oil. They fried zucchini in the same oil, because they were brown like the calamari and nasty tasting. The cotoletta was hard, overcooked.

Service was not existent. The server brought the food and we only saw him when we were ready to pay. Here is my advice: take the pictures from the restaurant terrace...

CONSIGLIATISSIMO

Siamo andati ieri sera io ed il mio ragazzo per una cena tranquilla, ma non volevamo mangiare la solita pizza.

Il MENÙ fantastico, bello assortito e per niente banale, il servizio non da meno, cordiali e gentili ed i piatti sono stati serviti velocemente. i piatti sono belli pieni, abbiamo mangiato 2 antipasti e 2 primi e due dolci ed eravamo pienissimi.

AMBIENTE non altezzoso, ma a parere nostro molto sottovalutato come locale, merita di più. Ma ci siamo sentiti veramente accolti e sono stati cordialissimi.

Beh la LOCATION che dire, stupenda, si vede il mare ma non la solita vista, si vede anche il bellissimo paese di Castelsardo, vista unica.

Il PREZZO è giusto, anzi quasi basso per quello che offre, come detto poc'anzi, abbiamo preso due antipasti, due primi, due dolci e speso poco meno di 100€, e spesi veramente bene.

Se proprio devo dire qualcosa di negativo è il parcheggio, perché a noi (gentilissimi) hanno fatto parcheggiare dietro la macchina dei dipendenti, ma non so esattamente dove si possa parcheggiare.
