Last year we visited La Luna by the advise of our italian friends and this year we decided to repeat the experience. The town of Tirli is worth visiting and La luna is a real pearl. All menu is original and it seems that all the recipes are coming from previous generations. Each dish is prepared with attitude and talent. Do not expect any dishes from usual Italian restaurant, just relax and try something new. Lots of dishes from the wild pig, which is called beautifully in Italian chingiale. You may like it or not but I can assure you that it will be cooked and tastes at its' best. We also loved the pigeon, not because its our favorite dish but because of the way it was prepared. Read morewe came to Tirli to have diner at locanda la luna. In the stylish outdoor area which has a litlle medieval touch we were served in a very friendly familiar way. We had very fine starters and the regional top favorite, wild boar in apple, which was really delicious. Also the selected dessert, a semifreddo was served in perfect condition, not too frozen, not too soft. We surely will come again maybe in combination with an overnight stay in a room booked directly in the restaurant, so that we can enjoy a bottle of wine selected from the wine list.
