Al Mare is my favorite restaurant in Union Lido Camping, offering a beautiful view right by the beach. The service is fast, which is a big bonus when you have a few hungry kids on holiday. The menu is excellent, with a variety of classic dishes, making it easy to choose even when dining here 3 or 4 times a week during our stay. The staff are very friendly and always greet you with a smile, which is impressive given the high temperatures. One suggestion for the owner would be to allow tips to be added to credit card payments, as not everyone carries cash these days. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Union Lido!

Ich habe dieses Café am 18.09.2025 besucht. Unsere Bestellung belief sich laut detaillierter Rechnung auf 62,50 €. Beim Bezahlen mit Karte stellte ich jedoch fest, dass plötzlich 82,50 € abgebucht wurden – also genau 20 € mehr. Dieser Unterschied ist zu groß, um ein Versehen zu sein. Ich sprach den Kellner (sein Name war Giuseppe) direkt darauf an und bat um eine Erklärung. Nach kurzem Zögern gab er mir die 20 € in bar zurück. Natürlich ist es positiv, dass ich mein Geld wiederbekam, aber der Umstand, dass man das Personal auf so einen „Fehler“ hinweisen muss, hinterlässt einen sehr bitteren Eindruck. Es wirkt so, als ob solche Situationen hier gerade bei Touristen kein Einzelfall sind. Das Essen war zwar lecker und die Qualität der Gerichte ohne Zweifel gut, aber was nützt eine gute Küche, wenn es an Ehrlichkeit und Transparenz mangelt? Ich fühlte mich betrogen, und das hat den gesamten Besuch verdorben. Ich kann dieses Lokal niemandem empfehlen, der Wert auf Fairness und Respekt gegenüber den Gästen legt.

Pizza schmeckt nach Tiefkühlkost, nicht nach Bella Italia. Größe nicht ausreichend. Die Riesen-Garnellen waren für 20 € eine Katastrophe. Waren verkocht und schlecht zubereitet. Die Burger waren ohne jegliche Soße, obwohl als BBQ bestellt. Es lagen lediglich Plastik Päckchen Ketchup dabei. Die Hotdogs waren nur aus der Friteuse ohne Beilagen (Zwiebeln, Gurken etc..) Bedienung hat es überhaupt nicht interessiert. Also wer billiges und schnelles Essen will, ist hier willkommen. Ergänzung, nach dem der Chef da war wurden die Riesen Garnellen nachgelassen. Nach dem Kommentar vom Betreiber, möchte / muss ich was ergänzen. Die Garnellen wurden freundlicherweise nicht berechnet. Aber irgendwie ist man sehr allergisch auf Kritik. Der Teig wurde auch nicht kritisiert, aber die Pilze zum Beispiel waren aus der Dose!!! Die Burger waren ohne jegliche Soße! Es mag sein dass es dem Großteil der Gäste schmeckt, aber als direkten vergleich mit der Dogbar, kann man den deutlichen Unterschied erkennen.

The food is very good and the waiters were all nice. The view of the sea was amazing, especially because my seat was placed in a way I was facing it directly. (Which is also quite romantic, btw!) Depending on when you decide to eat here, the place will be more or less busy, but that doesn't keep the staff from being friendly :) All in all, I was completely satisfied and glad that I was able to enjoy dinner with my family here. (Also, if you decide to eat here later in the evening, I recommend you to take something with you, that will keep the mosquitoes from...

Waiting ten minutes to be seated (we had a reservation; they just didn't have anyone on front of house). 15 minutes more to order and 30 more for food to arrive.

The food was just okay. The pizza was pretty good but better is served elsewhere in the campsite. My fish was small and overcooked; my potatoes were raw in the middle. The spaghetti al frutti di mare was tasteless.
