Nonoja Cafe It was a year ago when we first visited Nonoja Cafe the home of our good friends family cafe in Stabbia , Cerreto Guidi. On that day we were treated to some amazing food and wine. Well on this week we had the opportunity to go back and our experience was as good if not better than last time. As I said a year ago this cafe is set on an industrial estate and provides fabulous food at extremely great value for money at lunchtime. They also deliver to all the local businesses. When we arrived there was delight on everyone’s faces and they welcomed us back open arms. After a chat with the family we sat at the table to begin the afternoon’s festivities. This started with a Campari Spritz while enjoying some amazing snacks prepared by chef Giacomo and the team that included Lardo , Parma ham , beef tartare and crostini. We then moved on to the PRIMI PIATTI. Here we share the Penne al Ragu , Spaghetti aglio, olio e peperoncino and the Tagliolini con crema de taleggio e noci. Each dish was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. Now to the SECONDI PIATTI. My wife chose the Coniglio in umido (rabbit with olives) while I had the Trippa alla fiorentina (tripe) and it was incredible as was the rabbit. We then finished with DOLCI E FRUTTA where we chose the Mousse di yogurt and the Tartufo Nero con Baileys. These were a delight and a great way to finish. A chat with the team to personally thank them all for a fantastic afternoon before we headed off hoping that our next visit would be sooner rather than later. In fact before we returned home to London we got to chance to have breakfast where we could enjoy fabulous pastries and the finest Cappuccino. I can’t recommend a visit to Nonoja highly enough as you will not only enjoy some amazing food at a very reasonable cost but also looked after by the family with their extremely friendly hospitality. So please if you are passing by on your travels do pop in. Thank You team and see...
