Rifugio Ciampac — Restaurant in Comun General de Fascia

We visited Rif. Ciampac as three friends on our treck towards Marmolada, for an overnight stay. Despite the fact that we came weary and dirty from previous climbing, we were treated as most honoured guests. We had a three-course dinner which was very good - but we are in Italy and I am not sure if there are any bad cooks in the area :-) The accomodation was very good too. We may be easy to please - a cozy room with hot shower and a blanket provided by the hut is not obvious in rifugios in general. The rifugio was quite empty, I think because of covid situation (June 2021) and because it was the start of the season. Frequento quella zona da tantissimi anni. Só di fama che i gestori del Rifugio Ciampac non sono tra i più simpatici (diciamola così). Sono entrato varie volte nel rifugio e tale fama è stata sempre confermata. Il tutto viene avvalorato ancor di più dopo aver colloquiato al telefono col gestore principale della baita. Grande apatia, estremo cinismo e forte arroganza traspaiono dal tono usato e dalle parole espresse. Il tutto solo per aver provato a chiedere se tra Febbraio e Marzo avessero dei periodi liberi per poter prenotare delle camere per un gruppo di 10 persone. Il "grande problema" che ha innervosito colui con cui stavo parlando è stato che non sono stato preciso nel periodo richiesto. Questo semplicemente perché come gruppo potevamo organizzarci in qualsiasi weekend in quei due mesi, in base anche alle disponibilità della baita. Bè questa grande "anomalia" ha altamente alterato il gestore il quale mi ha accusato di prenderlo addirittura in giro. La chiamata è proseguita malissimo e si è arrivati a chiudersi il telefono in faccia. Ero solo un potenziale cliente che voleva informazioni per alloggiare li, ma si vede che lavorano talmente tanto bene che se ne fregano di ascoltare persone nuove e non fidelizzati. Beati loro! Per quel che mi riguarda, il rapporto umano verrà sempre prima del denaro. Buona stagione al Rifugio Ciampac...Chissà però se dovessero cambiare un giorno, qualora avessero bisogno di fidelizzarne di...

Were here on winter vacation on lunch. Its a self-service restaurant, at least a part of the ordered food is made freshly in the back. The food tasts very good and the price is right. I ate gnocci, was a rather medium-small portion, but this was a good opportunity to eat a second thing of the menue. :) Staff also is very friendly, they take the empty dishes away instantly and do a very good job. I recommend this...
